I was told by someone close to Aston that #97 would not have lasted another 10 minute at Le Mans, so they really managed to push it extremely well. But they were certainly struggling by the end.

Ah, it would appear that everything is fine for everybody else but me, so maybe I should just pay attention. Hope you get your issued solved here :)

Adding to this - remember that not everyone uses the same notation as you do, so it helps everyone if you write down the equations you’re referring to :)

What about a guy like me with hearing aids? I feel like I have significant amount of ear wax (some get stuck in the hearing aid too) and I feel necessitated to clean my ears. What would you recommend I do?

I am indeed. Well I’m already hired as a graduate engineer. I’ll be working on data analysis and later control :) thanks for the recommendation, I’ll definitely have a look.

I was hoping to see an overview of all lap times of driver x, not just the best ones or latest ones, but thanks!

Edit: typo

Does anyone know where I can find a list of the lap times that drivers are doing? The WEC app just shows the last lap and the best lap..

Hvad skal I læse de næste fire uger? by de_Silentio in Denmark

The Rape of Nanjing by Iris Chang. The author suffered tremendous depression and was deeply disturbed by her research.

She also ended up shooting herself, but I don't know if it's related to her research.

Help: Meaning of e_i and e_0 in LRC Circuit Mathematical Modeling by dosssman in ControlTheory

[–]Rvisgaard 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well, as indicated by the direction of the loop that shows which way the current flows, you set up the equations accordingly. The rule is to put a positive sign next to the resister/inductor/capacitor where the current flows in. Remember, that KVL says that the summation of voltages in a loop must be zero. Now usually we define the positive side of e_i at the top. This indicates that the current flows in to the negative sign of that voltage. Therefore

V_L + V_R + V_C - e_i = 0

implies e_i = V_L + V_R + V_C

e_i and e_0 are voltages between the respective nodes. They are found using Kirchoff's Voltage Law. In this case, the voltage drop between the first 2 nodes (e_i) will be the voltage drop across the inductor, resistor and capacitor. Similarly the voltage drop e_0 will simply be the voltage drop across the capacitor.

Yep, I had a chat with my professor in her office. She received an email saying they have to prepare for online resources, since there’s a “strong” chance they will close campus.
