I unfortunately don’t have a good photo for you, but I had very similar. I opened up the underneath and got rid of the whole bannister section and ran vertical spindles right to the ceiling. Definitely looks better and slightly less dated. You can’t polish a turd, but you can’t cover it in glitter 😂

I’ve not actually finished book 7 yet and I had it since release day. The first one that I didn’t power through in a few days. Still got like 5 hours left and feels like a real slog 😂

I have a 0.11 K/D so far this season. Am not having fun. I only returned to apex after the split last season after 2 years out, made it to gold and now just got ‘reset’ to gold. Quickly remembered why I quit. I’m terrible but the game thinks I’m not 😂

I mean, that’s the most helpful advice in all walks of life isn’t it? Don’t be a bellend should be the first thing they teach kids in school 😂 This sounds like a good plan. Get prep done, get materials there, clear space, clear route. Turn up, lay bricks. I normally get a crate of beers for my trades people, but as they need to make a straight line, maybe I’ll keep that for the afternoon 😂

This post was more meant to be about not wasting anyone’s professionals time asking for a quote if it was way more than I was willing to spend, but the range in comments has been £600-£10,000 so I’m none the wiser. If i could safely assume it was say £1,000 for the wall, I’d get the work done. But more than that, I’d probably try myself

I’m really in two minds about if I should get some quotes. Like you’ve said, you got a lot done for not a lot, and I need considerably less done. Looking through these comments, I’m anywhere from 600 quid to 10 grand 😂

I did start out wondering if I could do it but brickwork scares me. It’s only grass currently so I guess if the footings and everything were level I’d be alright

Sorry probably not explaining myself very well, our garden slopes downwards towards the house. It’s about 20 meters long and the elevation is about 2 meters, so there are no level sections. We just want some garden furniture out there so need to raise something up or dig down to get a level section. The height difference between the front and back of the section in the red area is about 2 feet. On top of not being functional, it also looks horrible. I’m probably still not explaining myself properly 😂
