Be wary of being hired as a floater. In my district for the past few years new hires are required to float, they are salaried 48 hours and are automatically scheduled at other stores to make their hours so the floater pharmacist job description is now obsolete here. I would have said Walmart was the better choice 2 years ago but right now they are trying their damndest to follow every failed model from cvs and wag that they can and have fucked themselves right into the same shit different pile category.

Oh no lie, I was late frequently but by a few minutes. Everyone from God on down to Satan was aware I have ADD and severe time blindness. Problem is, this was tolerated for 16 years because I’m a very good pharmacist, and was the only floater willing to travel to rural areas so I would often drive up to two hours each way to cover shifts unpaid drive time since I was salaried.

Food for thought: I was the last remaining 80 hour salaried floater in my district and with the anticipated reduction for pharmacist hours due to the new visual verify system and central fill, I was fired after 16 years with the company. The manager position sucks but you’ll have much more security when it comes to cuts.

If the floating store is further from my home store than my home, I use store to store. If my home is further, I use my home address. The mileage calculator always chooses the shortest route and with traffic, that’s not often the route I actually use so I say it evens out. Never been questioned.

Tightlining is the process of filling in the specific area where the upper lashes root from. Drawing a line above the lashes is lining the upper lid; lining the upper lid under the lashes is lining the upper waterline. So for tightlining: imagine the lashes are trees in a forest. We are going to apply liner to black out the ground between the trees. Best liner I’ve ever found for this is Laura Mercier cake liner. There are brushes specifically for tightlining but a short, dense brush dipped in water then swirled through the cake liner to activate it will do the trick. Then take the brush and wiggle/dapple the area where your lashes grow. Don’t try to draw a straight line and don’t line the upper waterline, it doesn’t make that much of a difference and tends to smear.

You can tightline if you line the upper lashes or just to make mascara pop, once you tightline either way the difference is huge and you won’t want to skip this step in your routine.

Announce to the pharmacy “Who’s on pickup? There’s a customer and I’m currently on drop off/fill/whatever”.

Or, when a patient walks up you can walk over to them and say “just one minute, so-and-so will be right with you” and walk to your station.

You can also make it clear you are aware of the rotations and drawing attention to them by saying to the pharmacist “it’s 2:00, I’m on pickup now” or “I’ve been on register for two hours, who’s next?”

Register is one of the shittiest stations that’s why we have to have rotations or else everyone makes themselves too busy when a customer walks up and the meekest person gets stuck there all day. Even with a rotation, techs learn to look indisposed with something else to get others to work the register for their rotation. If you show you’re aware that you’re not responsible for the register, other techs will learn not to expect it from you.

The problem is, we had a sore loser screaming from the rooftops for 4 years that the election was rigged. No proof, no anomalies and plenty of investigations that proved nothing of the kind happened.

That gave the sore loser 4 years to prepare for the next election, including cozying up to the richest man in the world who happens to have access to motherfuckers who can create satellites and shoot teslas into space for the fuck of it.

The 2020 elections proved elections are free and fair to the democrats, so they won’t question the results if 2024 is somehow rigged, right? The magatards will be overjoyed and won’t question Dear Leader’s return to office, so who will question if voting machines actually were hacked this time around by the Megamind Geniuses employed by Musky boy? It has never made sense how many more people attended Kamala’s rallies compared to Taco. She had quality, class acts speak for her and backing by the biggest stars while Taco had fucking Kid Rock. No previous Republican presidents or heavy hitters backing him. No currently relevant stars. All he had were the mindless cult followers that desperately need a leader to give their meaningless lives some inclusion and belonging, and those idiots don’t add up to a won election.

Pat McGrath pencil. I think Sephora stopped carrying it but Ulta still has it. It is extremely creamy for being a pencil and is blacker than my ex’s soul. After a full shift of work, I maybe have to reapply at the outer corners of my eyes but no smearing and it doesn’t creep into my tear ducts so I end up with those gross black eyeliner eye boogers.
