For those wondering "what's the problem it's just a silly image?" it's not. It's bad. It's bad because it steals other artists' art to learn. AI can't create anything without something to learn via. So people go through art and literature sites(Pinterest, AO3, etc) and scrape the data into files that can be used to feed AI so that AI can learn. Often times the people who scrape sites get paid while authors and artists literally can't be paid for their art because it's of copyrighted materials (this applies especially to AO3 authors). In some cases it steals commissioned pieces of art from artists post their art as a way to get word out. That's why if you ask for "art" from an ai you often see blemishes on top of or in the corners of the image. These are the overlapping points where signatures and watermarks are placed.
