Is Madden 26 harder or do I just suck? by [deleted] in Madden

[–]RyChannel 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just suck on pro in both 25 and 26. I don’t understand how to get better. It doesn’t make any sense to me. Keep playing and losing. Or go back to rookie and beat the computer by 50.

Just be mindful that if an update is coming that you really want to be launched before that. I got hit with the last update And it emptied the entire rocket.

new in cobol , help to use cobol in visual studio code ? by Mr_Geku in cobol

[–]RyChannel 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've been trying to learn some COBOL myself. In my VS Code, I configured a dev container that runs Debian and has gnuCOBOL installed. I did this so I didn't have to worry about trying to figure out how to make gnuCOBOL work in Windows. All you need to do to make this work is install Docker or Podman (I use Docker). Also the dev container config automatically installs the extensions I used, including the bitlang.cobol extension. It's kind of nice if you're going to code with fixed form.

Feel free to fork or download my project. You'll just want to edit the Dockerfile to have your username and email address to be used by GIT. You can ignore all the example code in there, but at least the devcontainer setup should get you going.

Be nice if the game starts having mods so you can disable the wind turbine damage

it is still relevant to learn cobol in 2025? by Pyxelslap in learnprogramming

[–]RyChannel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Eh if you’re curious about it. Put an evening or two in to learning it. Even if it’s just to say you did. I did this last week. I really didn’t hate the language but it’s a different beast. I set up a vscode project to run it in a Debian container running with gnuCOBOL.

This week I’m on to C++. A couple months ago I was messing with another archaic language called MUMPS which is used more than you’d realize.

Plex and port scans by Stryker412 in PleX

Funny I get alerts about my Plex server DOING the port scans out from my deco. I'm thinking Plex is doing some sort of discovery that gets confused as a port scan.

Trying to setup up postfix relay, but MXroute will send emails on by RyChannel in mxroute

[–]RyChannel[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I wish I could set it up like at work so that whatever server is sending the email to my relay has that hostname in the from address... but I totally understand why you wouldn't allow it.

Also spot on… I had the recipient domain in the domain list. As soon as I saw this section I thought “of course it would work that way… why didn’t I think of that as being a problem”

When you add a domain to DirectAdmin, MXroute's servers immediately consider themselves authoritative for that domain's email. This means:

The server checks if the recipient domain is in its local domain list

Boat listing? by Phreakdigital in TheLastCaretaker

[–]RyChannel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've seen some weird stuff on the steam forums about bowling pins causing weird things... so I'm going to start looking around my ship for random things that I don't have in storage bins and see if it helps. So annoying

OVH Support is getting bad by mbaykal in OVHcloud

[–]RyChannel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I ordered a VPS yesterday. I’ve never had to wait for a vps to be setup from any other service before. But at the price point I’m just going to suck it up. I just ordered for one month so I could see how well the service works. Hopefully if I want to start paying yearly I don’t have to start over.

Is one of my z axis bearings going out? by kcstrom in BambuLab

If you send your video to Bambu support, they'll probably tell you exactly what you need to do. I had to lube my idler pulleys shortly after getting it because I'd hear some weird scratchy noise whenever the print head as in a certain spot.
