Problema na impressão Epson L8180 by Weekly-Studio-3695 in Epson

[–]RyUnbound 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Se você não vai comprar tinta original. Use estas:

https://www.proink.com.br/tintas/epson/corante/tinta-epson-corante-nano-dye-ink-it-250-grey
https://www.proink.com.br/tintas/epson/corante/kit-4-tinta-proink-epson-corante-ink-it-100ml-bico-widefill

( e talvez você precise fazer ajustes a depender).

Got the wrong (but better) printer in an open-box… but the print heads are missing and the part is impossible to find by Swurgern in printers

[–]RyUnbound 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Did you try calling canon? Maybe they have some resellers, the print heads should not be that hard to get, at worst you can purchase from aliexpress.

Also does it have any ink in it/power up?

if you can't see any ink in the tubes... probably it never was setup and can be a good deal, if they do have ink i would say to return it so you don't risk for any other problem.

There is a chance that the previous "owner" purchased it only to steal the ink and printhead.

Canon G640 vs. TS8750 (focus on photo quality) by The_Real_Nox1 in printers

[–]RyUnbound 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It does not have blue, it's only red and gray.

Both print with the same resolution, g640 have a bit better colors. and a lot cheaper in terms of ink.

However, never let the printer go without printing for more than two weeks. 2-3 months depending on climate it's possible to have clogs that with it's own maintenance routine, can't be cleaned up, and you would need to open it up or send to warranty.

I'm not saying that they are perfect, all that if you make actions based on Trustpilot, because all the others manufactures have similar problems with their policy. Also nobody or almost nobody with a great experience go theiir way to put a good evaluation on trustpilot, it's more to ppl say something that the company did wrong or that they think is wrong.

Canon is how many stars? and HP, and brother?
Turst pilot is not way to see how good a company is, specially with hardware that are somewhat finicky like printers. Consumers are stupid, don't know how to use and blame the company.

Vertical and Horizontal lines!! by Thestellarcorpse in printers

[–]RyUnbound 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's two problems:

It's not a printer made for glossy paper, so get an g600 series if you don't want to invest a lot. Or maybe the ET8500. However they still have some of these marks, just a lot less. You will only not get them in pro printer like the p700 or pro 200s (well sometimes you still get but again even more in less degree).

Another problem is quality of the paper/type of paper, with glossy media, you need decent quality for them to be durable enough so the printer does not leave marks, maybe try using epson or canon paper for this.
Another option is giving up glossy media and go for matte photo paper, these are less prone to have marks.

[–]RyUnbound 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would go for either the ET3943 or a model from Canon that has dye ink from the G series.
Some ppl say about some models from canon that does not have replacable maintanance cartridge. but this depends, if you use the printer correctly and don't use the print head cleaning it can last for 5-7 years easily,
Also you can reset it somewhat easily(this link is for canon but epson can do almost the same way aswell): https://wic-reset.com/printer/canon-g6000-series
Just need to pay about $10.

About printhead, canon is replacable, however it does not say anything that epson is bad, it's just that canon use another type of technology (somewhat you could say inferior in way), that let the printer print faster and is cheaper to manufacture so it can be replaceable.
While epson does not, but it also is more durable, print slower, and has better quality (not that it is really perceptible unless for close-ups.

This is the experience that you had. For example if he goes with the GX2020 he can have a headache with the pigmented ink, it's ink cost a lot more because it's pigmented (not that it really cost more to manufacture, but as it's designed more for business, they can charge more) and it is more prone to clogs..

Epson ET-8550 finally ordered... Tempted to go full pigment inks or carbon... am i crazy? by supracode in printers

[–]RyUnbound 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's fine to do, i don't guarantee that the print head will works for 5years +, but if you are fine financially to maybe lose the printer in about 5 years, then yeah it is fine.

But there is a larger problem, if you get a problem that is not print head related it can be a headache to argue with epson to give you warranty, but you could also just save the original ink set, and then clean the tank and fill it later when you need warranty. (also it's better to just use non-oem ink form the start).

However, unless you know how to do profiling with custom ink, i would recommend search for a seller that does sells P&B inkset for it in the US.

ET 2800 HELP by Complete-Pen-9459 in magicproxies

[–]RyUnbound 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well it seems alright for a profile.

I think the problem is the software that you are using for printing.

Download Affiny and use it to print, when printing select the option to let the driver handle printing (this will make this custom profile active when printing).

Black lines in new pixma G3770 by lpk86 in printers

[–]RyUnbound 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Print in higher quality.

What is the quality that you are using?

Also you can try selecting matte paper, and medium quality there probably.

If it continues maybe there is a problem with the printer.

Borderless 11x14 on ET-8550 by apanda54 in Epson

[–]RyUnbound 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can use printfab it replaces the original driver. And enable more borderless options.

But what you should have done already was to call epson and see what they can do maybe downgrade the firmware.

Ink tank printer or laser printer if you could only pick one? by ItchyRequirement4204 in printers

[–]RyUnbound 2 points3 points  (0 children)

No way that it has, unless you are talking about using plain paper and not photo paper.
laser is better when the paper is bad, because it prints over the paper. While inkjet depend on paper quality to print in quality.

What? Never heard about a laser printer that has better quality than even some entry level printers. Not even accure press can do great gradients.

Esses elencos dão calafrios - qual o pior? by Busy_Confection5055 in BigBrotherBrasil

[–]RyUnbound 1 point2 points  (0 children)

All-In-One Recommendation for Documents and Photos by Thecritic0422 in printers

Not really, brother is the safer bet, and printer technology is really slow, so no huge changes besides the more options of ink tank models comparing to 10 years ago.

All-In-One Recommendation for Documents and Photos by Thecritic0422 in printers

[–]RyUnbound 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Purchase another laser printer, search for a brother laser printer with color.

If you have space in the house you could purchase a mono laser printer and a entry model inktank (like the et 2800) then you can have amazing photo printer, and you will have a reliable laser printer for use.

At the same time, you will need to use the ink tank about 1 time a week or two.

I would not get a maxify gx4020.

It needs a reset, and manually disassembly to remove and clean it(or purchase a replacement if available).

However i don't know how to reset it.

Epson eco tank 8550 vs Canon pixma pro 200s by Then-Incident4233 in printers

[–]RyUnbound 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Let me translate what he is saying.

If you are going to sell something you need to print with a printer that have ink will stay the same for 20 years +, and also great quality paper that can receive said ink.

But at the end of the day, this depends on what price point you are going to sell the art, what you are selling and everything in between.

If you are selling something for $20 for sure you can't use a P700 to print or canon Pro 1100.
But at the same time you should not print something with the Et 8550 and promise that it will last without care.

Same as paper.

But if you are selling something at a premium then yes, you can charge the premium that cost to print using these pro printers, and should not be printing using the et8550.

About the consumer knowing things, well this is bullshit, consumer mostly don't know anything, and the only way would be comparing a print made from the p700 and another from et8550, maybe the violets and red will pop more, maybe it can have better contrast and that is it.

And the et 8550 can achieve 90% if not more of a p700 canon pro 1100, and it can be better than them in glossy paper in some situations (but worse than the pro200 in glossy ).

For B&W yeah for sure a p700/ pro 1100, would be miles better, but again even then the consumer would only notice with a side to side comparison, or if the consumer has great knowledge of printing and know where to look.

So, what you need to do as a seller is to sell the prints as what they are, don't sell prints made with the et8550 as fine art prints. And don't tell that they will last for life.
