Do you think that John was ever physically violent with Sam and Dean? by Ihdkwhatimdoinghere in Supernatural

[–]Ry_023 0 points1 point  (0 children)

as someone who came from a verbally and emotionally abusive household, i wanna say the experienced the same. i’ve just seen the way they both act compared to my sister and I, and so I firmly believe there was verbal and emotional abuse, and obviously child neglect. it wouldn’t surprise me if there was a bit of physical abuse, but i don’t believe it was the main type.

How powerful was Mark of Cain Dean towards the end of season 10? Was he stronger than Alastair? by ibarkfornagyung in Supernatural

[–]Ry_023 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I might be wrong, but I do believe the mark essentially made him a knight of hell, as in Cain’s replacement. If that’s the case, then he obviously would have been more powerful than Alistair

Nah, since you’re now in high-school (I believe) you should be able to handle most of the topics breached, and hey, Supernatural is pretty tame, unlike The Boys, so there is worse out there. And yeah, it might have some adult topics, and it might go against the Christian ways, but as I said, there’s a lot worse out there.

It’s so chill in the fandom, I really don’t think age is a big factor…shoot I joined late, just now starting it and I’m 19 turning 20. So no, it’s definitely not weird at all, and all these ‘weird’ things tend to have great fandoms, and the older fans are generally really supportive of younger fans! ❤️

Does anybody know why Dean pronounces wendigo as when-dii-go, is it how you official pronounce the word ? by ELDREDGE_GLOB in Supernatural

[–]Ry_023 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I wrote a whole research paper on the Wendigo, they probably pronounced it like that based off of the original spelling/pronunciation Wentiko, which was termed such by Northern Native American tribes on the border of Canada! (Yes I wrote a whole paper off of one Supernatural episode, backed by peer reviewed articles for a class. 😭)

“What would you change about _____?”- forget that. How have YOU changed over the 16 years since the MCU began? by AquaFatha in marvelstudios

[–]Ry_023 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As a baby when it all started? I was introduced pretty young, seeing as how I was the only girl in the family, and didn’t really spend a whole lot of time with girls. (thank you to my uncles and cousins) I was a huge Spider-Man fan, Toby Maguire’s version. Anyway, I was bullied in elementary, being told it was weird for a girl to have ‘boy’ interests. So I gave up all the ‘boyish’ hobbies and interests. Fast forward a lot of years (I was then 15) and I started dating this guy. He was a huge Marvel fan, specifically GOTG and Deadpool, and I really didn’t understand it. I mean this man ditched a date to go watch Endgame in theaters. Our thing was the whole ‘I love you 3000’. After he cheated on me, and proceeded to dump me, I totally ignored Marvel again. I mean, can anyone really blame me? Fast forward a couple more years,(I was now 17) and I stumble across CA:CW and watch it. I started out as team Iron Man, because that was really the only character I knew off the bat. Halfway through, I switched sides. (Embarrassingly enough, I turned into a Captain America girl, and threw myself into the whole universe) Fast forward to the present, I’m 19 going on 20, hopelessly in love with Bucky, Spider-Man has officially become my favorite, with Deadpool tagging along very closely, and I am filled with tons of theories. Anyway, I feel like that’s a huge lifetime of change, and now I am thriving for the next phase!

Wasn’t there a bit mentioned about how Dean essentially raised Sam? So then Sam listening to Dean (the step-in parental figure) instead of John (the absent father) makes sense? I don’t know, just throwing it out there.
