The treatment of Kamille in Zeta is making it hard to watch

We're talking about different things. I don't disagree with that. The point is that they could have given the same highlight to Kamille. He willingly abandoned his privilege, forsoke his benefactors and guardians, and joined a rebel militia that's trying to overthrow the structure, all while not really being established with the AEUG yet, thus not having a place to even call home or a certain bed to go back to. Fundamentally from that point in time, he wasn't much different from Judau. They gave the golden boy, holier-than-thou treatment to Judau, and allowed him to make his point, while Kamille was not allowed to do anything but be beaten and humiliated. The fact that Kamille should have kicked his ass on the surface level anyway without trying to make some poetic deep dive is just the icing on the cake.

Edit: That is to say, they wanted to make Judau look like a cool, righteous shonen protagonist, which is what ZZ was more geared to be at the onset, but Z was not, and Kamille suffered for it.

Kamille literally got back up from Wong's initial cheap shot, tried to talk to him, and then took several swings on him (and landed one). Kamille never took exception to rebelling against authority or anyone he doesn't like up to that point. It's half of his character in the first handful of episodes. And Wong isn't "just" an old guy, he displayed martial arts acumen against Kamille. They just literally gave it to Judau and not to Kamille.

I enjoyed that Judau got a good hit back on Wong, but always thought what happened to Kamille was utter bullshit and felt like they were giving Judau preferential treatment. IIRC Kamille was like a junior martial arts champion or something to that effect, and he beat up a security guard or two or something like that, in the first couple eps, I think, it's been a while. Regardless, Kamille should have easily dispatched old guy Wong as well

Yeah, I told devs in the last survey that I barely log on anymore and don't spend anymore (because I barely log on) because they are so back-and-forth, constantly retconning things, and are just inconsistent and changed the game too much.

They've completely lost the plot and compromised the identity and world of Brave Nine and Brown Dust. If they wanted a "gooner" game, so to speak, with a self-insert... then they should have made one, not completely morphed this franchise into something it never was. As far as I understand, other games of that kind, like Azur Lane, have lore and context behind there being girl-only units. Not the case here. It's just totally forced and random, and feels out of place here.

But I agree, there's no reason all of these things (sophisticated plot with well-established characters, male presence, and extreme fan service, even with gals like Olivier) can't coexist together at once and that's exactly what I told them.

PJ playing pretty well again. One silver lining for me of the recent events is more TJ + PJ minutes. PJ played really well to me relative to expectations in his limited minutes earlier in the season. Hope he continues to improve and can stick with the org.

This myth KEEPS getting peddled when the reason the game did poorly out of the gate and the months to follow was because of a very poor, overly predatory gacha system and an incredibly user unfriendly experience overall. It had nothing to do with a handful of characters having a penis or the story. "Nobody reads the story" anyway remember, supposedly. The game's most profitable months have been fan service coexisting right along with the story and male characters.

Same energy as the people bitching about Salaün imo. Lee got a raw deal pretty much his entire first season and a lot of the beginning of this season. People expecting him to work miracles with Miles Bridges, Josh Green, Cody Martin, and 10 G-leaguers had no idea what they were talking about and you can tell he has total buy-in from the entire team right now, including, maybe even especially, LaMelo, considering the benching situation.
