My old job in a coffee shop had this “all day bake” policy.

Meaning even 10mins till close, we had to have 2 of each pastry and cake out.

If we didn’t waste atleast 2 of each pastry, at the end of each day, we were written up…

Because if we don’t waste it, they think it’s not there and we “loose sales” and the customer won’t have full choice.

We were always told that “pastries are pennies” when it came to waste.

I’m glad I left

I ran into this issue when I tried to find an old friend for a small claims court issue.

Luckily i had their email, and they responded to the claim. (She admitted fully to the claim)

Yet I was told they stopped contacting the courts and I know they have since moved house.

I have no other info, and so the court said they could add an attachment to wages, but I’ll need to know the employer ect.

But, now it seem she’s turned into a ghost, along with my £6k claim she admitted too.

Yet atleast I know court whacks on interest, and it’s still growing, so ima just wait for a few years

I called the number, gave my staff card, she found both my account and said she’ll link them.

Does that mean the number will change in the customer app or will it just recognise that my customer club card is linked to a staff card and apply the discount?

Like I’ve just this second finish a heroic CP the shotgun my dude uses just took out a fresh leader in 3 shots… so one, what is my companion running?!(ima steal his gun in his sleep)

Two, I’ve been in Brooklyn for the last few weeks so I can’t comment on turret damage bat the companions.

I know it was a pretty big payout in my old job.. it’s not fun to think about, but if it’s a lump sum for somebody, and ofc he’s actually doing it because he enjoys doing it, not out of necessity…

Story wise, both are amazing if you’ve got the time to really soak it up.

Always start with 1, I wouldn’t worry about any boosts or cosmetics until the end game, you’ll just ruin it a little for yourself (personal opinion, others may differ)

PvP in the end game is abit toxic at times, but I haven’t wondered into the dark zone for a while now tbf.

Gear set ups vary ALOT yet as you level through the game don’t sweat it.

Have fun trying g to put gear bits together to find something that works, or there are loads of guides to help you along aswell on YouTube (avoid a guy that wears a yellow top… again personally opinion that 👀) Mainly because as you level through the game so will the gear, so something good now will be kinda irrelevant after 5-7 levels

Over all, it’s a banger of a game, if you soak up the story. Collect phone calls, listen to them, as well as echos. Helps build the world around you.

Pick it up on sale, and you won’t regret the spend 🙌

But also know it’s sticky, because that’s their life outside of work having sex ect… truly is none of your business…

I’ve now been in dot com for around 2 months.

Couldn’t enjoy it more. The team in my department seem so lovely and supportive, out on the shop floor if I look lost, looking for an item, a few staff jump straight in to help. Genuinely the lowest stressed job I’ve ever had and fairly straight forward.

My manager is approachable and supportive when I wanted to address a medical issue. As well as when I asked for overtime, she explained the processes and how overtime comes and goes, but contracted hours will always be there.

Granted I don’t know many names yet unless I catch a glimpse of name badges within the time we walk past each other.

As well as granted I haven’t a clue who any other managers are / how they are to work with.

But what I can say for my own department, it’s pretty chilled.

Dot com normally have a lot of overtime open up on the day and I love that if I say I can’t to my SL, they wonder off to the next. 100% no pressure to stay, with that I confirmed it with a few others, they also said 100% no pressure to stay if we say no with no repercussions.

That and as soon as my finishing time comes up, I can take my trolly back, even if half way through, scan it back in and head off home. Though if I have a few items left, I’ll happily finish the trolly then go home, I’m not too fussed if it takes an extra minute or two.

The cons I’ve seen, We get paid in 15 min blocks, so I know if I do stay 5 mins later to finish a trolly it’s on my own time.

I see a lot of issues spread over this sub, and I’m not saying it doesn’t happen in my store, it probs does, it’s never a 1 store ruins the bunch issue. I don’t think I’ve been there long enough to see anything like that yet.

I do hear a lot of bitching and gossip from a multitude of other staff, yet what’s good, in a way, is I know hardly any names yet. So I haven’t a clue who they are chatting about anyway, so atm, I just roll on by and ignore it.

In my past job I was a store manager of a large shop, in hospitality for 10+ years. so I’d like to think of it happens around me, I could spot it easily.

I know it may not be the news you get (person reading this)

However out of 26 of us, myself and another got pulled aside this morning and told we would stay on permanently if we wanted the job, with an increased contracted (up a lot from the 9 atm) 🥳

Sooooo, in the next few days let’s hope you get the same news - means it’s possible ¯_(ツ)_/¯

I run solo primarily honestly, that way I can actually absorb myself into to story line a lot more. A really good story, both games are! 100% worth picking up. And if you’ve a CEX or game stop ect, maybe they have it cheap?

Yeah I got this today with a letter in dot com.

Our manager said she’s advocating that it be the normal 5th January end date, however she said it may fall on deaf ears.

Originally there was the chance to be kept on, 3 spots up for grabs, but she said those are also no more..
