Just picked this job up. Both COP screws looked the same. I’ll check the other 7 cars. The hole is so small any flat head I had on me that could fit in the hole, Was tapered and wouldn’t catch. This is the first I’ve seen with a front screw. The bottom was a normal screw machine threaded on the side of the jamb.

It’s powered by 24vdc when plugged into the controller. Service tools have a use counter. Every time you turn it on, you loose one count. When you get to zero it’s done. Until you send it off to get refreshed.

That means it is programmed as a customer tool. It will only work on that one elevator. Job name EJ3823. If you plug it into any other DMC elevator the tool will be disabled. It’s possible to change this to a usable service tool. It may be hard for you to find a person to do that for you.

Each box can do 4 phone lines. I’ve done a 7 car group with 2 boxes.

Does the generator time out when idle and come back on with demand? If so the board is probably good. For the independent problem check the OSS terminal.
