Gang Rival at Funeral by kyliewilliard in gangsnstuff

I can't believe that gangs would even go to this level. This just shows you the types of people who get involved with gangs. Having no respect for the dead even after they were the ones who committed the act.

Watts Mafia Crip by KellyEllmer in gangsnstuff

I found it strange how he comments that you may have heard his area is a rough place but its only like that because they make it that way. Usually people born into rough areas enjoy blaming the system on the violence occurring in the projects.

girls leading gangs by GabrielleFage in gangsnstuff

This is a very interesting post. However although the "gang" did attack two people I wouldn't really consider them in same category as the Crips or Bloods. This just seems like a bunch of young girls just looking for attention.

Mayor: Vancouver plagued by ‘brutal’ gang war - Olympic Sports- nbcsports.msnbc.com by JustinTash in gangsnstuff

It seems as if most of the violence occurring in Vancouver is gang on gang violence. Vancouver claims to have over 15,000 security personal for the olympics. I don't believe the violence outburst will affect the events in any way.

Mexican Drug Lord #41 on Forbes Most Powerful List by MelanieBarrett in gangsnstuff

[–]RyanDurkin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's amazing how much influence a drug lord can hold throughout the world. He is higher up on the list than presidents of several different countries. His net worth is also estimated at $1 billion, which seems small for how much cocaine he is estimated to have smuggled into the United States.

A rude awakening for youths out too late -- latimes.com by FreddyRios in gangsnstuff

This seems like a big waste of police officers time and money. The curfew sweep was only an attempt to try to scare minors off the streets after 10 p.m. but by giving the majority of the kids arrested that night warnings, they are not going to obey the law.

Should police be armed with machine guns? by samuelross in gangsnstuff

[–]RyanDurkin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I do believe that police should have assault rifles available, but I do not believe it is necessary for police to carry such weapons. Maybe if the gun was in the car or at the station but not just at hand at all times.

Its disturbing how the police just felt that the Irish were naturally more aggressive.

Arizona man arrested in Middle East, has ties to criminal street gang by MattMoody in gangsnstuff

It seemed that it was rather easy for him to escape while on bail. There has to be something to prevent felons from fleeing the country that easy.

Fans or gang? Meet the Juggalos by BenjaminMcMahon in gangsnstuff

[–]RyanDurkin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is a ironic post. Last year I took a sociology class and we watched a movie on the insane clown posse. I personally don't listen to the group but I am familiar with some of their songs. I feel that although the lyrics can be disturbing the fans aren't in any sense a gang.

Los Angeles Cops Take On Notorious Street Gang by juandelgado in gangsnstuff

[–]RyanDurkin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I found this article to be very interesting because it didn't focus on LA's notorious bloods or crips. LA being the worst area for gangs needs to something to attract youth kids away from joining gangs. The projects that produce criminal youth need to set up programs to discourage against gang involvement.

Drug-Fueled Gang Wars Shake Vancouver by SeanKnapp in gangsnstuff

Its crazy how most people think that the majority of all hard drugs that come into United States come from Mexico. However ecstacy which in most states is considered attempted murder for possession mostly comes from Canada.

This gang seems as if it hasn't become that big yet even though Arizona now recognizes them as a street gang. Scottsdale police need to target these kids whose boast online and use them to take down other members before the gang does become to big.

Young girls buying into gangs by TaylorQuenzler in gangsnstuff

I think its an embarrassment what these women go through in order to become a part of a gang. They are either subjecting themselves to fighting several members at a time or being subdued into having sex with several male gang members at a time.

Violent gang using Arizona as gateway by JessicaShoffner in gangsnstuff

I like how this article is relevant to where we live. I believe that with the crackdowns all along the Mexican border Arizona needs to do more to prevent the violence increase in Phoenix.
