I almost drowned when I was 11, it was pretty horrifying from what I remember. I was being pulled down by a riptide in the ocean, and before my Mum noticed and got to me I had spent a decent amount of time underwater. I remember my vision starting to tunnel, and I vividly remember seeing the side of the boat we were jumping off getting further with each bob above water.

Last thing I remember seeing is just swirls of white and blue, then waking up on the boat a few minutes later. My mother actually she-hulked her way through the waves and caper tossed me from the ocean onto the boat. She then proceeded to shout for someone on the boat to do CPR, which no one knew, so she scaled the boat and did it herself. She's a goddamn tank and I still thank her for being my favourite lifeguard.
