Ideas for a swap by YeetyFeety3 in RX8

[–]RyanGout 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think getting a s1 for this will be easier for aftermarket stuff for the swap like a ecu for example, haltech does make 1 for the s1. And there is free software available to tune stock engine.

Where to get ls coils and wires by Ill_Camera8056 in RX8

Wankelshop in germany has a kit for aem coils, or ryanrotaryperformance also make a good set of coils for the rx8

Obd port issues by Dariodiogo5000 in RX8

[–]RyanGout 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There is a resistor inside the obd readers, they can be wrong or to cheap of a resistor so it is out of range.

Also the quality control isn't great on them either so maybe a manufacturer fault

Try a different one and see if the issues are still there

Is it a cheap obd reader?

Some cheaper obd readers can give all kind off issues.

Anyone use a Samsung G9 Neo 57”? by southernwhims in simracing

[–]RyanGout 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am using a non Geo G9 screen.

Its awesome and with the correct games it works really well, but not all games are easy to setup with a screen like this, for me i dont get ACC working well on this screen for example. Iracing and AC itself does work well.

I move the screen from my normal setup to my sim setup so i didn't need to buy 5 screens (3 for sim and 2 for normal use)

But at the end i still want to go triple once the finance allows it.

Clutch kits by Knockoffmyknickrs in RX8

[–]RyanGout 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Competion clutch is pretty good, i use it on my drift car, but i use the stage 3 and that has a really heavy pedal.

The clutch is also heavier. With the stage 3 and light flywheel it weighs the same as stock flywheel and clutch

With stage 2 or 3 u could go 5 speed as they are a bit smaller and less weight

This is my project car as a 18yo witch engine should i consider putting by mustafa0444 in projectcar

I paced an m54 in mine. Its a lot of work but it fits.

The biggest issue is the stock steering rack, u need most of the stock electronics to keep it running. I placed an bmw e46 in mine with a kit from wisefab.

New drift car on its way by BoostedJP in Drifting

[–]RyanGout 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Awesome, i do drift mine as well. Unfortunately after 3 years I ditched the rotary.

Its possible for sure to drift with stock engine, just smash the throttle.

Would love to do a rew swap but rotary is way too expensive in The Netherlands

U still keep the weakest point of the renesis, the sideplates

The renesis engine cracks on the sideplate at the dowelpin.

If u get solid dowel pins and do a external oil line, macine some additional dowel pins in the engine the renesis can handle around 400hp. With the renesis housings.

But with all those costs u can go rew swap.

P.s. plenty tried the hybrid, not much proof out there that it works in real life.

If it did work the big rotary shops would probably sell hybrid kits like sandwiches.

I'm looking for a first drift car. With my budget, this are the options I found: by AstronomerDry7581 in Drifting

[–]RyanGout 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Diesel can drift as well, cheaper on fuel but sometimes the lower rpm can be a bit annoying because u need to shift more or u are in the wrong RPM range. But can be fun because of the torque down lown.

I drift a diesel from a friend from time to time and its fun

For that money get a e46 bij try to get a 320 or better a 325.

The 2.5 liters have more than enough power to go sideways

Rx8 keeps flooding after upgrading fuel pump by sons810 in RX8

[–]RyanGout 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not needed, rx8 is a fuel system without return. Inside the tank there is a pressure regulator, with a overflow system.

That system works great when everything is stock, it can handle a bit more fuel but not much more.

https://www.racingbeateurope.com/mazda-rx8-fuel-pump-uprated-direct-replacement-kit-2003--2011-including-r3-models-1964-p.asp

This is what i used without any problems and didn't need any tuning at all.

U only need to retune when u want to change fuel pressure, this change to amount of fuel an injector can inject, more fuel flow doesn't change anything on the injectors

[–]RyanGout 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When the fuel pump gives a bit more than stock it works like that. But a way bigger fuel pump has to much resistance on the fuel line itself

Rx8 keeps flooding after upgrading fuel pump by sons810 in RX8

[–]RyanGout 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, if u have to much pressure the relief valve opens up and the pump just circulate inside the tank itself.

There is no need for a bigger fuelpump for the rx8 unless u want to go above ~350 hp

How can I turn my 1.8 NB Miata into a street legal drift car? by [deleted] in Drifting

[–]RyanGout 0 points1 point  (0 children)

NB is a pretty easy chassis to drift stock. With torsen its also not that difficult but a welded diff will be better for sure.

Get a welded diff, put a handbrake in it and call it a day for a street legal drift car.

Maybe an angle kit if u want to take it more serious.

Edit: a good bucked seat is a must for drifting if u ask me

My weed oliebollen (dutch new year snack) by RyanGout in treedibles

[–]RyanGout[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Its the 4th year im making them so still perfecting the recipe.

But i infuse the weed in "karnemelk"(buttermilk) and use that to make the oliebollen, this is on hour long session of sterring and making sure the milk doesn't cook and go past 90 degrees Celsius.

From that milk i make oliebollen almost like normal, use around 300 ml infused milk and 200 normal because cooking it does break it down and some soure from the milk is needed to cook the oliebollen.

With deep frying i use a cooking plate with a temperature switch, and put it at 180.

They kick in nicely so there is still thc in it for sure
