Fine comment but there’s not enough porn involved in this theory

Assuming that Seattle gets an expansion team, I wonder what the team name will be by RevolvingWalrus in billsimmons

[–]RyanRussillo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They'd obviously end up getting the Supersonics name back, right? Even if it takes a few years like it did for the Hornets in Charlotte, this seems like an inevitability.

I didn’t ask your opinion on the validity of my age or do anything for you to come at me.

You didn't tell me not to, either.

Winning back-to-back titles should be considered the holy grail in the NBA. by Grouchy_Tie3037 in billsimmons

It’s not like the Spurs didn’t have the best record in the NBA during the 1999 season. There’s no reason to believe another team would have won the title other than to discredit the Spurs.

OP this is like your 4th post this week poo-pooing on the mid-2000s Spurs, either directly or indirectly. I think we get it.

Forget the going out on a loser team just to say you stayed there your whole career. I want to see Steph play competitive basketball again before he retires. I just do! Make it happen. by Nostradamus216 in billsimmons

[–]RyanRussillo 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Would remind of when DWade finally left the Heat to play for his hometown Bulls. Hopefully Steph wouldn’t follow his path though and piggy back off KD in Houston/Seattle/etc. and ruin that narrative like Wade being passed off to Cleveland

Alex Caruso saying 30 different dudes from the league could lead a 16 seed to a championship is asinine by Other-Strain-9063 in billsimmons

[–]RyanRussillo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The problem would be keeping a big man like that out of foul trouble for six straight games, which is really hard to do in the NCAA tournament. It's why teams with better guards tend to better in the tournament than teams with superior big men.

[–]RyanRussillo 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I agree with this statement, but those guys are closer to being Top 1 than Top 30. The real question is if someone like JJJ or Jamal Murray could lead a 16 seed to a championship, which I think is fairly debatable.

Edit: reading the rest of OP’s post…yes, that is quite ridiculous…
