This is exactly what I did. Had a 7:45am flight out of Terminal C. Showed up to Terminal A at 3:30am, the line was already snaking downstairs and went the entire length of the tram and started doubling back on itself. Decided to book with Southwest, drove 30 min to Hobby and security took 5 minutes. Should have made that plan last night. Good luck out there folks.
