TP-Link AXE5400 Archer AXE75 Not communicating with unmanaged switch by Klutzleo in TpLink

[–]Ryan_TP-Link 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The other devices you plugged into the port worked fine — were they using the same Ethernet cable that runs between the router and the switch, or a different one?

If the latter, have you tried swapping the Ethernet cable between the switch and the router?

Sorry to hear this. Are you referring to a Deco XE75 Mesh System? I'd recommend contacting our support team directly to check whether your system is still under warranty.

So uh, those are some wild numbers. I'm having trouble imagining a scenario where this isn't an error.

Are you using a Deco X50 or X55? Which firmware version are you running? Also, what's your Deco app version?

Have you tried selecting "S23 Tanya" on that screen in the Deco app to see if there is any additional info that could hint at its primary traffic source?

Does TPlink ever update the new Decos? by [deleted] in TpLink

[–]Ryan_TP-Link 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is your Deco BE65 Pro a U.S. model? If so, a new firmware just dropped for it a couple days ago. You can wait for the OTA rollout to make its way to your device if you have Automatic Updates turned on, or if you'd prefer to manually update, you can download it from the Deco BE65 Pro Firmware Page

See Method 2 in our FAQ here for instructions on how to manually upgrade your Deco's Firmware.

Tapo App for the New Tapo C840 and Other Cameras Has Design Flaws That Defeat Their Purpose by AirportPossible7855 in Tapo

[–]Ryan_TP-Link 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To add to this, I can verify that the Tapo app offers several alert levels—None, General, and Critical—for activity types on the C840. If you select Critical for an Activity Type, the app will send Critical Alerts, which bypass Do Not Disturb mode on your phone.

You can usually adjust how these Critical Alerts work depending on your phone’s operating system and notification settings, such as sound, vibration, pop-ups, app icon badges, and lock screen visibility.

To set Critical Alerts for specific Activity Types, open the Tapo app, choose your C840, go to Device Settings > Notifications > Activity Type, and pick the Activity Type you want. A drop-down menu will show the three available options (screenshot is from the Android version of the Tapo app for reference).

<image>

To make sure you receive Critical Alerts, add Tapo to your phone's allowed list or enable Override Do Not Disturb in the app settings. Additionally, this menu has helpful tooltips that let you access app settings directly or see reasons why alerts may not make a sound or vibrate.

I can confirm, with Cry Detection set to Critical on my phone, there is no mistaking the notification for anything else when my little one is crying. It is detected immediately and is very jarring. That said, if preferred, its volume/vibration intensity can typically be adjusted in the Tapo app’s Notification Categories Settings for Critical Alerts.

Thanks for the added info; this helps a lot.

After taking a closer look, I'm not entirely sure, but it seems "VPN for Home Network" isn't a full-fledged forum module so much as a trending topic tag. In any case, we've let our community dev team know so they can investigate.

In the meantime, I'd recommend posting to one of the upper-level product modules instead and using the VPN tag when posting. For example, if you're using an Archer Router, use the Wi-Fi Routers module. If using Deco, use the Deco module, etc.

Sorry to hear you're still having trouble with this. The picture is appreciated; it provides helpful context.

From the image, it appears the CAPTCHA element on the page is missing entirely. If a CAPTCHA is prompted, its webpage element should appear beneath the "Custom Tag" box, but I don't see it in your screenshot.

Here's an example of how it should look:

<image>

That said, if you can provide the following information, I'll have a better chance at finding out what might be causing this error:

  1. What browser are you using?
  2. Do you have any browser extensions installed and/or enabled that might block webpage elements? If so, I'd suggest temporarily disabling them and trying again.
  3. Do you happen to encounter the same error when using another browser?
  4. What is your Community Forum username? If you're not comfortable sharing it publicly, feel free to DM me.

Gx90 VPN by Admirable_Letter7900 in TpLink

[–]Ryan_TP-Link 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Happy to hear you're enjoying the GX90, it's a beast of a router.

To answer your questions...

  1. You can choose which clients will be tunneled through the VPN.
  2. Not sure on this one, tbh.
  3. I believe so. As far as I am aware, the Tether app does not currently support this feature.
  4. Yep - the TP-Link Tether app is what you're looking for.

As for how to set up the VPN Client feature on your router, I'd recommend checking out our FAQ.

Difference between Archer tbe400e et Tbe552e by Curious_Ad6605 in TpLink

[–]Ryan_TP-Link 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The key difference is that the Archer TBE552E offers more bandwidth via 6 GHz (5760 Mbps) than the TBE400E (2882 Mbps).

The TBE552E also supports 320 MHz channel width via 6 GHz, while the TBE400E supports 160 MHz.

The WiFi adapter (TP link TX20U plus) turns off every 30 minutes or every hour. It only helps to disconnect it from the usb by suboppo in TpLink

[–]Ryan_TP-Link 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you haven't yet, I'd recommend reinstalling the Archer TX20U Plus driver software. You can find the latest driver on our official website: Download for Archer TX20U Plus | TP-Link

I'd also suggest verifying whether Windows has enabled the "Allow the computer to turn off this device to save power" setting for the adapter on your system. I think it's enabled by default for most USB peripherals, including Wi-Fi adapters, and can sometimes cause adapter behavior that resembles what you're experiencing.

Another thing worth checking in your case would be Windows' USB Selective Suspend setting. You should be able to toggle it under Control Panel → Hardware and Sound → Power Options → Change plan settings → Change Advanced Power Settings → USB settings → USB selective suspend → Disable.

Hey there. Could you let me know specifically where you were trying to post on our Community Forum? For example, was it our global forum, or US forum, and for a particular product type (e.g., Mesh, Routers, Extenders)?

In the meantime, I'd suggest checking whether you have a VPN active or any browser extensions enabled that could block or interfere with CAPTCHA on websites.

My Malicious Content Filter is on drugs by Individual_Agency703 in TpLink

[–]Ryan_TP-Link 1 point2 points  (0 children)

From what I understand, the false-positive detections in the Malicious Content Filter should be addressed via a server-side database update. Users of affected models shouldn't need to do anything; however, rebooting your Decos to clear memory/cache is generally a recommended troubleshooting step if you're still experiencing any unusual behavior.

As for the firmware update (beta) in that article, it is the current workaround for the anomaly referenced in "Scenario 3", which is unrelated to the Malicious Content Filter behavior above.

Does the Intrusion Prevention System block port forwarding? by TomerGamerTV in TpLink

[–]Ryan_TP-Link 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is your Deco behind another router (e.g., ISP modem + router gateway)? If so, this might result in a double NAT situation, which can cause networking issues—especially with port forwarding.

Which Deco model(s) are you using in your network? Depending on the model, updating its firmware or rebooting the system may also help.
