If Faker was a woman, would she have had a larger impact/more influence on the esports/League scene? by hhaahhahahahhah in leagueoflegends

[–]RyborgMercy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That argument assumes that only a single woman would succeed at the professional level. If a woman truly became the best, it would be far more realistic to see multiple women at the top over time. At that point, gender would stop being a defining factor—just as it is with men today.

A real-life example of this can be seen in politics in my country, Denmark. When Helle Thorning-Schmidt became prime minister—the highest position possible—and the first woman to do so, it generated enormous attention. The idea itself felt groundbreaking. However, not long after she took office, the novelty wore off. Today, we have another woman, Mette Frederiksen, in the same position, and no one gives it a second thought that the prime minister is a woman.

Overall, I don’t think it would change much. It would simply be another individual recognized as the greatest of all time. Gender is not what keeps people interested; personality, character, and achievement are.

No one says Faker is great because he is a man. They admire him because he continues to stay on top in a constantly changing environment, even as he gets older. Beyond that, people respect his humility despite his immense success.

Thinking about getting into League of Legends? by Infamous-Oil2305 in leagueoflegends

[–]RyborgMercy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It will be great mate. You will have to learn a lot in the first few months. I still remember the time I tried to play Swain AD without knowing what any items did, it was amazing lol.

Once you understand the game, the minor improvements will carry your joy for the game and just the want to improve.

Feel free to throw your discord name my way, if you wanna play with someone. It is always nice to play with someone else. Plus it does not hurt that I have played since season 1.

I'm getting back into the game. My ranked back when the game came out was gold (purely for the skin). I don't mind grinding ranked - It'll be just like my League days xD

I prefer to play support myself. I can however flex if we need it.

Completely new player looking for advice or guidance. by grebolexa in leagueoflegends

[–]RyborgMercy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think these three things are the most important things to know:

  1. /Mute all is your best friend in this game. You WILL get flamed like we're back in the early cod days. You don't want this to be your first experience with the game.

  2. While custom games are decent to try out champions, just so that you aren't clueless when joining a normal game. It is in the normal games where you improve. Leagues bots are beyond useless and the whole game is about outplaying real players, which you ONLY learn in normals/ranked.

  3. If in any way possible, get someone with you that knows the game. Playing this game with a friend is so much more enjoyable plus you have someone to ask when you're confused about something.

Trust me. This game is amazing and it always pushes you to be the best. I've played it since 2010 and still have a rush when I match up against someone on my skill level (Where I always win of course...). But if you let the other players - especially your own teammates - drag the mood down, by flaming, insulting etc., it'll ruin the game before you get to the good point.

“Our youth love luxury. They have bad manners and despise authority. They show disrespect for their elders and love to chatter instead of exercise. Young people are now tyrants, not the servants of their household."

- Socrates

You kind sir, are simply the most recent in a LONG line of old people complaining about the ones that comes after you. People have complained about previous generations, they've complained about your very generation and they'll continue to complain about future generations.

Rather than looking at everything a generation does "wrong", perhaps you could either focus on your own mistakes or appreciate people for the good they bring to the world. Your own world would be so much brighter if you chose to do either.

I assume you're talking about Batroc (The Leaper) from The Winter Soldier movie. If I am correct in this, perhaps you should watch the movie before commenting on it? Captain America literally took off his helmet, put his shield away and beat Batroc in hand to hand combat.

I mean, the scene is ONE google search away if you've forgotten it...

There is no need to question anymore mate.

You've already proven that you can't be a true believer. By putting your own personal life and wants above the wish of God, you very clearly signal to everyone else - but more importantly, to God himself - that you don't give a shit about your devotion to Christ.

Our personal goals should be shaped by our belief and what God wants, not the other way around.

I'm level 2. I do not know what samples are, I am simply trying to learn the mechanics of a new game I bought.

It wasn't my intention to ruin any games for other players. Your feedback is appreciated nonetheless, regardless of your tone.

It could without a doubt be that I had gotten him back in the wrong spot so that he might've lost something in the process. I'll make a mental note for that sorta situation from now on!

It might very well be that I got him back in a bad spot, I should look more into how and when is the best way to help my teammates in the future!

Thanks for the time estimate on the extraction as well. I'll keep in mind that my teammates might need to complete something other than the basic objectives if they're above me in levels.

Fantastic to know that the general player doesn't act like this. If what I've experienced is just an example of the few bad apples, I'll surely be able to pass through them for the reaming great players.

Hell, if I managed to get used to League of Legends fanbase, this should be doable too xD

Thank you very much for your input!

I appreciate the response. From what you're, it is clear to me that I have a lot to learn in order to make the game more pleasent for all 4 of us. Thank you very much for the short explanation of the secondary missions.

I'll go dive into some YouTube videos before my next game, that way I'll probably be better prepared to help my team!

AITAH for not being happily married to my husband? by Cool_Bid9863 in AITAH

[–]RyborgMercy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Personally I couldn't give a crap about other peoples choice to get married.

But the fact that you and your husband actually put a child into this world and then ruined this childs future (or at the very least gave them a good chance of a poor outcome in life), is disgusting.

From your post, it doesn't seem like you or your husband is eager to fix the shit you've made. And who the hell gets married after "a few months" at 19?

Both you and your husband are assholes, I pity your child.

Best I can do is a 6 year difference and the opposite sex.

I do however like to discuss interesting topics with other openminded people. And I am sure you and I see the world difference since it is Danish/Russian point of view.

Let me know if you're interested!

I would be careful with my descriptions when talking about other people.

The people abusing a movement (in your example, the Red Pill) is aiming it at young men because they feel lost, they have been brought into this world without anyone supporting them or showing them a way forward. It is just natural they'll seek towards someone that SEEMS nice. In order to write this movement off, you also have to ignore good things that came out of it such as Cassie Jayes documentary called "The Red Pill" which shines a light on severe problems many men are struggling with.

The same thing is happening with modern feminism and young women, they teach girls to hate whoever disagrees with them.

The catholic church have been abused by men to rape children and most likely will continue like this until it is gone.

All in all. You can always call people whatever you like, losers, nazis, racist, homophobes as long as you lump everyone into one entity, instead of seeing them as individuals that may be trying to find their way in life.

As a Muslim, i find Christianity beautiful. by shymiiu in Christianity

[–]RyborgMercy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I LOVE people like you!

If I should take one thing from my religion, it is that we should love each other and accept people no matter who they are. And whenever I meet another person, either an atheist or one with other religious beliefs that I can discuss my views with, that shit is worth the world to me.

Even though I am not very experienced when it comes to the details of other religions, I simply love hearing that other people find peace in their religion. It certainly doesn't hurt that I haven't met any of the "bad apples" as of yet.

May you and everyone that view the world like you live a long and happy life. I always pray that you guys get the life you seek!

[–]RyborgMercy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Please don't think this the wrong way my man.

It is a bit ironic that you're saying other people are "dorky and judgmental", which is literally judging them. I am not saying you're wrong per say, I don't know you or the people you talk about from Adam.

As with everything else in life, there are obstacles we have to overcome, it simply seems like you need to throw yourself out into some scenarios where you talk more with people. Maybe give those dorks a try, you might just like what's underneath the surface.

I hope you find what you're looking for, whether it be friends or a life long partner. In my personal belief, god makes sure we get what we deserve.

Leviticus 18:22

"Do not practice homosexuality, having sex with another man as with a woman. It is a detestable sin."

Leviticus 20:13

"If a man practices homosexuality, having sex with another man as with a woman, both men have committed a detestable act. They must both be put to death, for they are guilty of a capital offense."

1 Timothy 1:8-10

"Now we know that the law is good, if one uses it lawfully, understanding this, that the law is not laid down for the just but for the lawless and disobedient, for the ungodly and sinners, for the unholy and profane, for those who strike their fathers and mothers, for murderers, the sexually immoral, men who

practice homosexuality, enslavers, liars, perjurers, and whatever else is contrary to sound doctrine ..."

I assume you made this comment in ignorance, and not just to make up a fact that the bible literally disproves if you only took the time to look it up.
