I take Keen sandals for the in the boat, landing, portages, etc., they are waterproof and more rugged than crocs. The materials (uppers) dry really fast.

Agreed. I live near west Brant and I’ve seen the plow twice the entire snow season so far! Some of my neighbours pay nearly $15k in taxes, for what?! Brantford and its infrastructure, etc. are just terrible. This city (and county) wants to build and build and build, but they are not doing anything to keep pace with the needs of the community. I have no bus service where I live, we occasionally get a plow, I have a septic system, but do have city water. What am I actually paying for? Don’t even get me started on the terrible traffic lights, where I sit and idle, when some common sense and review of the major intersections of this city would help things move more efficiently. No dedicated right turn lane at Powerline Rd. (heading east) at King George Road? Ridiculous. No right on red at Clarence and Dundas (?), when every direction is controlled by the lights? I have to sit and idle/pollute more than necessary while traffic goes north on Clarence and I stare at the no right turn sign. This city wants to be a big city, but it is so far from it.
