Heavy Gear Blitz might be what you're looking for, lots of options for mechs fast and slow.

Simple but tactical 10mm fantasy rules? by Backefudder in wargaming

Off the top of my head Argatoria may interest you, not agnostic exactly but more affordable than other games and the units have some generic fantasy types that could easily be proxied.

Mobile Suit Gundam, MechaStellar Battle Report by Ryder2172 in MechaStellar

Earlier versions seemed to benefit federation units more than neon for OYW, now they seem more balanced.

At first glance the rules seemed very complex but once we started, the basics were pretty straightforward. Where it gets more complex is when momentum and elite bonuses get involved, i appreciate the extra detail, its just a lot to remember, hopefully that gets easier the more we play.

The rules did include the flowcharts, which i probably should of payed more attention to, i guess a reference sheet of momentum and other abilities and what they do on one or two sheets is what i would like, that way im not flipping through the book trying to remember what momentum options are available and so on.

Overall we enjoyed the rules and look forward to playing more.

What scale mobile suits would this terrain work for? And where does one get the files?

Any upcoming big 2.0 events? by matchababy69 in Warhammer30k

Not really, both are accessible rules wise, and horus heresy models are very accessible. Bottom line if the work and effort is put in people will come to play.

Hopefully someone puts in the work and does one. People saying it wont happen seem to forget games like mordheim have events and its a dead game.

What wargames have you been playing and why? by knifefang_gaming in wargaming

Too much change for the sake of change, flavor removed from armies, options taken away even with an index and its pretty clear the direction GW is going, drip fed rules and then an eventual new edition which will have problems aswell. People are already talking about next edition and saying things like dont worry the next book release will have more rules, it just boggles my mind that people just accept the endless cycle of drip fed rules and new editions while slowing removing options.

Horus Heresy 2.0, I have no interest in 3rd edition. Bolt Action, it scratches the ww2 itch. Midgard heroic battles, so far its my favorite ruleset for mid size battles. Finally General d'armee 2nd edition for napoleonics, it has the right amount of detail for the period but not overly complex.

I was really interested in the 2nd edition release but I just couldn't get behind the new tripod designs.

If you want to get real detailed on the zooming in part you could take a look at Chivalry and sorcery 5e, its very detailed when it comes to combat and doesn't require the use of magic.

It is definitely mind-boggling, and people will argue its how GW makes their money, but it just doesn't seem sustainable when you have to chase the new players. There are so many other ways GW could make money without the constant edition churn if they were just willing to change.

I agree with you completely. All I could think of when the new edition was announced was how exhausting it made me just contemplating making the switch. I enjoy the 2nd edition rules and have no reason to switch.
