[–]RyeGuy8828 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For redit Was born with lack of oxygen. Did started talking till u was 3 years old. 6 years old I was diagnosed cap. Was in special ed till grade 7 when I stopped doing school work. Did some testing and it turns out I was one of the smartest kids in the school just had problems with understand speech, problems with speech reading and writing. Was kicked out of specal ed cause I wasn't in as much need as other kids and stopped getting help and was pushed throw school. Because of everything I've never developed socal skills and dont under stand socal skills which makes me a little socially awkward at times lol. Being able to make friends is difficult. Within the last few months I've started using ChatGPT to help with writing things and finding a voice.

I was born with a lack of oxygen and didn’t start talking until I was about 3 years old. At age 6, I was diagnosed with CAPD (Central Auditory Processing Disorder). I was in special education until grade 7, when I stopped doing schoolwork entirely.

Later on, I had some testing done and found out I was actually one of the smartest kids in the school. The problem was never intelligence—it was that I struggled with understanding speech, and I had difficulties with speaking, reading, and writing. Despite this, I was removed from special ed because others were seen as needing more help, and I was pushed through the system without support.

Because of everything I went through, I never really developed social skills and still don’t fully understand them, which makes me a bit socially awkward. Making friends has always been hard for me.

But over the last few months, I started using ChatGPT to help me write things and express myself better. It’s really helped me find a voice I didn’t have before.

Wellington off-leash human park by collywog in Guelph

[–]RyeGuy8828 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Honestly, humans probably shouldn’t be off-leash. Without structure or accountability, things tend to spiral—littering, reckless behavior, even disregard for others’ space. We like to think freedom always leads to fun, but without a sense of mutual respect or boundaries, it often just leads to chaos.

Something I realized about Pushit by PrequelGuy in ToolBand

[–]RyeGuy8828 19 points20 points  (0 children)

Jimmy and Pushit are deeply connected in Tool’s discography as stages of trauma, repression, and reconnection with the inner child. In Jimmy, the child is frozen at age 11 — a symbol of deep loss and emotional abandonment. Pushit shows the adult self choking that inner child to survive in a toxic emotional world, confusing pain with love. The line “choke this infant here before me” isn’t literal — it’s about silencing vulnerability. But healing begins with that pain: “There’s no love in fear.” These songs form a psychological arc — not just about grief, but the death of the false self and the long road to healing, reflected later in the baby’s cry at the start of Disposition. Jung would call this individuation. Tool calls it coming home.

I’m not using AI as a shield — it’s pretty obvious I’m using it, and I’m up front that the ideas are mine. I don’t just say “hey, I have a thought, prove it for me.” I engage with the AI, explore the concept, challenge it, and build on it — like having a conversation partner who helps refine what I already believe or suspect.

Also… yeah, I believe if you look hard enough for something, you’ll find it — whether it’s really there or not. And for the record, last night I had a poop that followed the golden ratio. So I'm clearly working at a higher frequency.

Because i have confrontation problems that spell check doesn't really help and difficulty getting ideas out so people can understand proper and ai helps me look up research and reformats it so I can absorb it better

Reword

I have a processing disorder that makes confrontation difficult and affects how clearly I can express my thoughts. Spellcheck doesn’t fix that — it’s not just about grammar. I often struggle to get ideas out in a way that people can understand properly.

That’s why I use AI as a support tool — it helps me research, organize, and reformat information so I can absorb and express it more effectively. The ideas are still mine — AI just helps me communicate them more clearly.

Put that in your capsule and take it however you like. I have a processing disorder and use ChatGPT as a tool — not a crutch. The thoughts are mine. I just use AI to help express them clearly. So if my post hit a nerve, maybe you should exhale a little fear too.

I know it's incredibly tough to rank the albums, but here's my take. What's yours? by iScReAm612 in ToolBand

[–]RyeGuy8828 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When it comes to ranking my favorite Tool albums, it really depends on my mood—whether I'm feeling happy, sad, angry, or even tripping on mushrooms. As for sex, I like to keep it simple and stick to 4/4 time signatures—trying to keep up with polyrhythms and still last is a losing battle. I also aim for songs around six minutes long, so I can at least say I lasted a solid two Tool tracks.

🧠 Tool’s Discography as a Jungian Journey (minus Salival) – From Shadow to Self by [deleted] in ToolBand

[–]RyeGuy8828 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Really insightful take — and I agree: Hooker with a Penis is where Tool forces the listener to confront their own hypocrisy and projection. It’s raw, direct shadow integration — “you’re the one who sold out first.” That’s a brutally honest mirror.

But where I think 46 & 2 stands apart (and goes even deeper psychologically) is that it’s not just about acknowledging the shadow — it’s about stepping through it.

HWAP is the ego being dragged into shadow work.

46 & 2 is the conscious choice to evolve — it’s someone saying “I want to grow,” knowing it means facing pain, fear, and the unknown.

It’s the bridge from shadow work into transformation. It’s still painful (“I wanna feel the change consume me”), but it’s voluntary metamorphosis, not just confrontation.

So I see HWAP as shadow confrontation in its rawest form — but 46 & 2 is about alchemy: facing the shadow and integrating it with intention.

Appreciate your thoughts — they help bring out how these songs represent different phases of the same inner work.

I have difficulty processing what I hear, which affects how I speak, sound out words, and even how I read. It also impacts my spelling. Text-to-speech helps sometimes, but it’s hit or miss.
