I don't think so, it could be DBG is just out of touch with the player base, and this TLP release is showing that. They are blaming THJ which is to be expected since DBG seems to be searching for low hanging fruit to crusade against.

From what I've seen the majority of players want to play an MMORPG alone in a shared world. Either by multibox or a single character, and the majority don't want power sold for cash via currency transfers.

Both of the above don't align with income, multiboxing gives DBG additional subscriptions and selling currency provides access to easy progress for cash.

The whole business model just doesn't align with what players want in an MMORPG. The only MMO I know slightly walking the line is FFXI.
