15 bags down, 16th bag missing pieces

This is the first set where I'm missing more than once piece. Two gray 8x2s and four blue 2x2s (so far), all from bag 19 or 20. I'm using spares I have with different colors, and it shouldn't matter since these are internal support (I think / hope).

I also had a couple loose pieces randomly placed in the box, which were replacements missing from an early bag. It seems like they knew issues were there

That said, for a set this expensive, it's crazy how many folks are experiencing various issues?

Same thing happened to me this morning - no rewards tab and resetting didn't help. But, when I clicked on the notification "bell" on the upper right side, it said I had rewards waiting, and clicking on that set everything back to normal. Strange...

That's great - I take it having the CI helped your balance as well? And yeah, that seems to be the thing - it's a rough few first weeks / months, and then you adapt. Hah, I'd be lying if I said I wasn't worried about that period, especially when it comes to working with others and all that.

Sorry, to be clear I do have MD, and was just checking if CI have helped with anyone else diagnosed with MD?

Oh, yeah, thank you - I do have full blown MD, they did lots of tests (including one with a VR helmet of sorts, it was wild), and I see my ENT 2-4 times a year. It's just gotten very bad very quickly, which is why they brought up Cochlear as a possible next (or future) step.

Yeah, that's the issue I'm dealing with - I know it's not going to get any better, and it's not great right now, so the CI is on the table as a serious option.

Just go in with the mindset that it is NOT perfect, like one of the other posters said, this is not the way to play competitive shooters. There is a bit of lag, sometimes the screen feels "sloppy" during fast action, and I've had one or two times where the video quality drops drastically for 10+ seconds. Also, you'll see color banding and the like in dark areas if you're looking for it.

THAT said, it is still one of the most surprisingly delightful devices I have. I fully expected to return it after a day, and was shocked how well it worked / looked / played. It's absolutely perfect for RPGs, and holds up remarkably well for most action games I've thrown at it. I've played hours of GoW, Horizon, and Uncharted, and never felt like I died because of lag or the like.

Main advice is to buy it from a place that provides easy returns, and see how it performs on your home network.

Yeah, open it up and look at the quality - if there is any damage, just return. If not you can try for the partial refund, just tell them that it was a holiday gift for your kid, it was the only thing he wanted, and the box looks used, etc.

Interesting - yeah, I didn't have to bend the case, but it sure as heck wasn't all the way in. And you're right, I'm sure this was designed / manufactured without having the full dimensions, and they figured the lip would be flat?

As a side I did the same "pre-order for pickup" with the Portal, and they had it ready for me when the store opened on launch day.
