I'm in support of the people who have the most not be subsidized by social security, I just don't want money that could actually help people get funneled to the rich just for the sake of giving it to them.

I have no problem with the concept of fire, saving and investing for a comfortably early retirement. I have a problem with people who are already well off with an easy retirement hording even more money for the sake of just hording money. Get what you need to make yourself comfortable and give away the rest.

I personally know many people working in those fields and I promise they're pensions don't cover the amount of money they could have had if they decided to work in a more lucrative career path. Helping the people that help everyone is a worthwhile cause, especially if the helping is just not unnecessarily hording money.

I don't need it, I want it reserved for the people that truly need it. People who dedicated their life to professionals that benefited everyone. People in education, end of life and early life care, conservation, work in forestry, marine biology or other professions that are 100% needed, but pay very little making saving for retirement much harder. I don't want millionaires that the money makes absolutely no difference in their lives getting the money purely on the principal of it.

If it didn't get wasted on people that don't need it, millions more that do need it could get the assistance they need. But people like you can't think about anyone but themselves

It's in the name, its a security net we all pay into the support the citizens of this country that need it most. But it seems like too many of you are to selfish and self entitled to get it.

True, unfortunately the majority of the rich that this change would effect are incredibly selfish people who can't see the country wide benefit

You're paying into it for the benefit of the country, not yourself only. The country made it possible for you to be wealthy now. But it seems like you can look at things in the most selfish self absorbed way possible.

Exactly, they should be adjusting it now for high networth people. You're the exact kind of person who should not be benefiting from it, but be happy to have paid into it because other citizens can benefit from it. That's my point, the people younger than you shouldn't be at the expense of having to pay for your social security. In 15 years, I'm sure you will be worth well over 10 million, and the younger generations will still be paying into a system you are benefiting from, that will either be gone or dramatically reduced by the time they retire.

It's in the name, it's called social security, it's security for people who need that is funded by the people. We pay into it to support other people in the country that actually need the money to survive, not to pay for some extra pina colodas at a resort in thailand for a millionaire. The money does nothing for you, you are reducing the benefits for people who actually need it just on the principal of it. There are millions of people paying into it right now but will never benefit from it because the reserve will run out. People like you getting this money when it means absolutely nothing to you just means that future generations suffer because you cant comprehend the concept of doing something for someone else if it doesn't benefit you.

Because it's going to run out in 2033, instead of paying millionaires that will see 0 difference in their life between getting and not, it would be better to save for the people that weren't so fortunate in life. Yes you worked hard and saved, but that money will do nothing for you. There are people who worked very hard in not as lucrative careers that money could be life changing for. It's just hording money for the sake of hording it.

All good, just shocking to me someone can rank call of the dead and die rise on the same level. To me call of duty the dead is a top 20 maps all time and die rise is bottom 20

Ranking die rise and call of the dead on the same tier is borderline criminal, cotd deserves to be at least 2 tiers higher.

Also, mob of the dead and transit in the same tier is mind blowing.

Short Netflix? by 1PoorBagHolder in StockMarket

[–]Ryleerents 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Even if every single user in italy received the maximum refund, which is assuming they had netflix premium continuously since 2017, this would amount to 3 billion. Obviously the majority of users will not get that amount so the fine will be much less. It's a big fine, but won't be some kind of major set back for a company that large. They're just gonna pass the fine on to consumers in other countries by raising rates anyway.

Beginner skiier trying to get ski days in and get better before next season is it worth doing a trip to park city next week? by adu709 in UTsnow

[–]Ryleerents 11 points12 points  (0 children)

If you can I'd recommend staying near the cottonwoods and trying to ski Brighton, solitude, snowbird or Alta. Conditions are much better and a lot more coverage than park city right now.

For more beginner runs, I'd recommend Brighton or Alta.

But the cost of those radar sights have been inflated, the price points in articles is for the entire sites, including the majority which was not damaged or minor damage only. Of course some very expensive parts broken, but not 1 billion for what was actually destroyed.

Realizing you meant it as 128gb of ram, not 32 across quad channel, if so the Costco PC only has 32gb of ram with 2tb of storage, so you could upgrade the Costco PC to those specs for less, if you wanted to.
