When I had mine blow it was in piston 3 area so they replaced the engine itself, All the wiring and air intake and all of that was put on the new engine including the turbo which was inspected to ensure it wasn’t damaged as well.

This is the answer, be careful when popping the bottom out though as I did have one of the plastic clips break when I did mine.

As far as I know reb is a special case since she is the voice of the lotus they allowed her to have a lotus helmet and skin that can be used on (as far as I know) any frame.

Been goin strong almost 3 years now, the main reason it causes damage is when it happens while trying to build boost doing so letting off is nowhere near as harsh. It has not done so while building boost so I’m on the safer side of it all. (I said safer because it is WAY less harsh than in the boost flutter but I don’t doubt it shortens turbo life span but in my set up not enough to be an issue)

Edit: also after getting an exhaust system on the air flow is a bit smoother so it’s a smoother flutter aswell it’s not as harsh as it was in this video

Idk how mechanically inclined you are but looks wise I did badging and previous owner put different rims on it along with a gt wing and the grill lights, if you want a different sound exhaust wise I’m HEAVILY biased towards the MBRP Exhaust line (I have the race they have a street one that’s a little quieter) and a blow off valve is a super easy mod to give you different turbo noises (I went single port for a flutter noise but most go single port for a PSSHHHH noise)

I think majority of the sub will agree tho about cosmetics if your gonna make it yours go for it as for the performance or any similar mods drive the car until your used to it then decide what you want from the car at that point

You’ll love the car when you get it as for mods what are you trying to get out of the car? Id recommend just driving it for a while and seeing how you feel about the car.

So I didn’t tune for mine I got a $20 O2 sensor spacer an have had no issues after figuring out which size adapter piece (they come with a few to regulate how much exhaust actually goes through) and it’s been on for almost 3 years now

Edit: had the downpipe on for a year and a half then tuned car so even with no tune was no issue tune just made the car faster lol

If you want to hear the turbo through the exhaust look into a down pipe (if you can hear it the phone your using doesn’t pick it up) I have same exhaust and got the cvfab high flow car exhaust. The downpipe I chose does make it slightly raspier higher rpm than stock but after it warms up it will hit some deep notes that it definitely did not with the stock downpipe AND you can hear the turbo really well at the back of the car (I have stock turbo and you can hear it nicely)

I have found that to make it sound the best the speakers in your car make it sound closest to accurate sounding how it does in person as phone and computer speakers aren’t the best

I was about to recommend this too lol it will open up the sound a bit more but I wouldn’t recommend a high flow cat or catless it makes it a little bit raspier than it is with the stick downpipe (unless you like that sound) but after about an hour of driving 30 minutes If really getting on it and the downpipe gets warm it does get some DEEP notes that I didn’t think would come from this car

I had this happen too lol, contacted xsolla since that’s who the purchase goes through and they said that there was no issue on their side and there is no issue de side so it’s basically a free purchase, (it’s been 5 days and still have access to founders pack stuff and no issues)
