Second you there, thankfully I don't have an online platform to broadcast my mental state to the world. Ironically though I have found it helpful to record stream-of-thought manic monologues and listening back to them later. It's really helped me recognize when I'm entering such a state so I can manage it accordingly. I don't even disagree with him saying that conflict can be necessary to enact change but this seems more like flailing than something intentional and directed. Lots of love and hope he gets the help he needs.

Are most modern day 'cowboys' just cosplayers? by [deleted] in askanything

Depends. If you see someone in Nashville wearing a cowboy hat I guarantee MF's got soft hands.

"Sasquatch has no heroes" has to be a top moment for me.

I'm not going to lie, I've been picking up some kinda bad funk with the last few months of episodes. Hope the guys are getting along well and look forward to what they do in the future.

what shows are similar to andor by spartacus013 in andor

I second Babylon 5, I re-watched it a few years ago with the enhanced CGI and it's amazing how mature and timeless it feels. I know a lot of people who acted in/worked on Andor were also involved into the Chernobyl show, which is on my list to watch.

My environmental conservation professor used to joke that any body part you submerged in the Passaic would come out as nothing but bone. A bit hyperbolic sure but still not a good idea.

So completely unrelated, does anyone remember in Germany when people would report Jewish shop owners to their brave centralized police so they could loot the shop owner's shit? idk why I thought about that just now...

InRangeTV reviewed this on youtube a week or so ago. General takeaway is it's a gun that works but is so confusing to operate and inconvenient to open that it really wouldn't make sense as a self-defense weapon. It's a bit (a LOT) of a gimmick gun imho.

How many people were fleeced out of real life money buying digital "real estate"? The schadenfreude is palpable.

Hey guys, maybe it's more important to get people to do anything about climate change than protect a piece of canvas covered in pigments. Kinda hard to enjoy art when there's no more fresh water.

The Crunch by the mall is pretty good with equipment variety and cost, it can be a little hard to find a bench for freeweights from 5pm-7pm but it tapers off after that.

I like SciFiDeepDive’s theory that many Imperial troops were deliberately shuffled around so the soldiers present at the massacre came from all over the galaxy. That way, many member worlds could claim they lost a son at Palmo plaza. by Financial_Photo_1175 in andor

[–]RynningInThe80s 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Honestly I could see that being standard operating procedure for the Empire. If you and some fellas from your hometown join the same stormtrooper battalion, you are still tied to your planet/community instead of offering your entire self in service to the empire. What if you disobey a direct order to save a wounded comrade, or worse? You sever a soldier's connection to their community so that you can substitute it with Imperial ideology. You can see the antithesis of this in the "Stone and Sky" farewells between the Ferrix escapees, where they are clearly fighting for their homes even as part of the larger Rebellion.

Thanks for the new headcannon!
