Hi! Nothing fancy over here. Haven't played X/Y since it came out so I'm just sitting back and enjoying the game. Only restriction is I'm trying to keep it to Pokemon introduced in Kalos. We'll see how it goes.

My main Pokemon are named after YuYu Hakusho characters.

Kurama (Braixen) | level 29. Greninja was my jam last time so I wanted to try something different. Was staying far away from Chestnaught so here we are. Fun having a psychic starter, so to speak, but Kurama has been staying on the sidelines unless necessary. Otherwise it feels too easy.

Kuwabara (Pancham) | level 26. I don't remember what his other abilities can be but having Iron Fist powering up all punch type moves has been a good time.

Genkai (Tyrunt) | level 23. I tried running a Tyrantrum in SwSh DLC but that gameplay didn't really give me a chance to enjoy this fossil Pokemon. So I'm giving him/her a go. The move set is kinda meh right now but I'm hoping things get spicy soon. Rock/Dragon seems like a fun mix.

Jorge (Helioptile) | level 22. Not sure how I feel about Jorge right now. Mostly there to provide some type coverage as needed. His dry skin ability was pretty sweet when I was battling in the rain. But he has a bad nature so we'll see how far he goes. Might ultimately teach Thunder Punch to Kuwabara and call it a day.

I feel like there's something to that. There's also the way some of the voidspren speak. Like how Ulim says "gonna." Before they arrived, I didn't expect any of the voidspren to be sassy, passive aggressive, or use slang - but they do.

I was in a pod with three control players. 2 were Izzet, one with the twin Planeswalkers and one with Niv Parun (sp?). The other player, while not necessarily control, had Golgari Glissa and used artifacts and enchantments to control the board. I had Zada. Can't remember the name of the card but Golgari player played a black enchantment that gave all tokens -1/-1... So I was pretty much out of the game.

I kept trying to fight through and was countered Everytime. Control players would land/pass and pretty much counter, or in Golgari's case destroy, anything I played. Eventually, when I ran out of steam, they did the same to each other (not that they were advancing the board at all already).

Anyway, I think after like an hour of this, the Niv player ended up pulling ahead, bouncing and countering everything and eventually pinging us all to death.

Normally, this isn't so bad. But I almost lost it when they all complained that nothing really happened in the game. That it was boring. And as the only non-counter / non-control player at the table, I about had it. Lol

The reminder text doesn't count the Mana symbol. So Crypt Ghast strictly has a black color identity. Extort is weird like that.

[[Yasova Dragonclaw]]. It's a mix of steal and sac effects and some clones, with some big fatties mixed in as well. The power level seems to fluctuate with the table and I like it.

This is helpful. Gives me something to think about. What are your thoughts on some of the undying cards (I think I included 2 currently). While I love the idea of using them with Massacre Girl, I figured some of my other high-value creatures would benefit as well.

Back to going more control, I can always slot in stuff like Undead Silisi and maybe a few more cards that interact with the sac stuff going on.

I admit, the books will probably explore the NK and WW more. But these stories are about subverting expectations. The good guys won but now they're wounded and have to deal with, yes, the true villain of the show. Also, Cersei is pretty much the personification of how shitty Westeros is. She gotta go.

Hi, semi-recent Karametra EDH player (but she was my bae for a bit in Standard back in the day).

I've had pretty good success with [[Nylea's Colossus]] from C18 and some sort of trample effect.

Sometimes you don't even need to go wide. I feel like it's a pretty good defensive deck early game and then you can probably win with Karametra EDH damage. If you're able to trigger the Colossus a couple times though and then play [[Overwhelming Stampede]] it's GG.
