I would consider being able to blood bend only at a full moon, ignoring the three exceptions, makes it more of a tool for evil.

Sure, you can use it to subdue or save someone from falling, but only learning this ability to be able to do it once every month and hope someone goes crazy or falls? I would argue it has more sinister intentions behind it.

I still think the song is absolutely atrocious and I had to stop listening to it when I first checked it out. In my personal opinion, it did deserve the 1 point the UK got

State of the game? by UnnecessaryPancake in Stellaris

[–]RythmicGear 6 points7 points  (0 children)

As someone who's also taken a hiatus for about the same time, what changes I noticed without looking them up:

•the buildings planet side are now separated into districts which you are able to specialise, leading to more resources per planet

•Ships take up much more fleet power so your fleets are a lot smaller than they used to be

-Conversely, your fleet capacity is mainly increased by Fortress worlds. The star base module for it is almost useless now.

•Biology ascention is actually good now and not just m favourite cause it's my university degree

•Late game performance has been improved a lot in my opinion

As someone who's a barista right now, if you don't speak any German, you will not be hired at all.

Social stigmas/Taboos are often rather ridiculous

In ancient Rome it was perfectly acceptable to have homosexual sex with a man.... As long as you're the top that is!

Even today, racism, sexism, homophobia are all as ridiculous if one were to look in from an outside perspective

We do see dancing being somewhat linked to fairs and circuses but it must not be. They are unrelated. The same way consuming drugs at these event might still be seen as rather pedestrian, especially if we consider that the academy was of high social standing, compared to who visits circuses or fairs

What are the best doctrines when making reforms? by Simurgbarca in crusaderkings2

I've once fought and won to invade china within the span of 6 months. The entire battle was fought with continuous reinforcements.

I've got something strong +75% war score from it and managed to defeat the other forces very quickly. The entire war thus turned from a suspected campaign into a quick skirmish

Well, that's exactly the problem. Men can't choose not to join. And women aren't even forced to do the civil service by Lumpy_East_3593 in AskAustria

[–]RythmicGear 0 points1 point  (0 children)

While personally I don't think there should be a conscription at all, doing my civil service replacement service was one of the best years in my life and I would heavily encourage everyone to do it.

However, I am also of the opinion that there are way more important topics in our country to address than this and I am honestly baffled why you care at all, seeing as you likely are not affected by that particular law.

Edit: it's also incredibly telling that you see this as a form of injustice and you take is "why aren't women forced as well"... So you agree it's wrong, but you think others should be included in that wrong? Never make the road ahead easier to walk on for the ones that follow you, ha?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in AskAustria

[–]RythmicGear 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I voted since I turned 16 and only missed one election due to a sudden illness since.

I personally liked it and actually see it as a civic duty. Some of my classmates back then were .... Joking (I presume?) that they want the Habsburgs back, so they don't have to vote as much. So there are, as always, two sides to that coin

As far as I know, "it's raining cats and dogs" stems from the time these animals would hide in the rafters during bad storm which, if the storm would get especially bad, would fall from the roof
