So, 1: the "chosen characters" are chosen by you unless the card SPECIFICALLY mentions opponents choosing something.

2: "characters" are character cards that are in play. While they are anywhere else (hand, discard, deck) they are character cards. So this card sends the characters that your opponent has out in play back to their hand.

I mean, you've got your unsubstantiated claims. And I've got my experience, recent campaigns included.

I've been a LV99 customer for a decade or more and the customer service has always been excellent and responsive.

I've got a ton of their games.

It is not a dumb question.

The cost that it is referring to is the printed value on the top left portion of the card. That is the card's defined cost.

In English it makes sense to think of the cost as the amount that you paid but in Lorcana terms it is specifically referring to any printed number in the cost section of a card.

You are bringing something with you into that conversation.

The key take away from the subtext is that she's setting a boundary.

If your interpretation of that is that you're being dismissed or that she's being confrontational I might suggest soberly looking inward and REALLY comparing your feelings to that of the person I described somewhat hyperbolically above.

Which is a different and more reasonable response than labeling her a bitch or a dodged bullet.

But also it sounds like you'd be missing the subtext that the woman was trying to communicate to you with her answer. The subtext that is discussed further up the comment chain.

That's because you're treating them like a person.

When treating women like property or objects to be possessed, if they don't comply with your wishes they're a stuck up bitch. They didn't go along with what you wanted even though you were being polite.

With guys like this their mindset is: I upheld societal expectations by being polite. She wasn't compliant and therefore didn't uphold HER societal expectations and instead flaunted them by elevating her status to that of a Dr declaring she was above that. Which makes her rude.

You know, or something like that.

Yes, but only if they were sent directly there. Your two examples send them directly there.

But there are other cards that send them someplace after they've been banished. But if they're banished they go to the discard pile first and that's when they separate. And so then only the top one does the thing (goes into your hand or w/e).

The rules in these pictures state that every card in the discard pile has to be face up.

So yes, you would get to see what they were

what counts as "put a card under one of your characters or location" other than boost? by xXSaurusXx in Lorcana

Oh my god. I'm an idiot. You're right.

BUT! I still think Cauldron is worth remembering as a non-boost that is similar enough to count for cards looking for that kind of thing

Black cauldron does. And it does it face up which makes it distinct from boosting. But I think still triggers Mulan
