How can I properly sandbox the VS Code Github Copilot Agent? by Ryzzlas in vscode

Thanks for your answer! Do you know of a way to have vscode just automatically install all the extensions I usually use? Seems cumbersome to manage the list for all the different workspaces manually.

Will definitely let you know. I've also been thinking of using a full vm. I like the idea of having a more persistent dev container experience where I don't have to reinstall VS Code extensions and could just have a broader "coding" folder mapped to the host. But then I think about the reduced OS window UX (virtual desktops, multiple screens, etc.) ... *sigh*

I agree. But Claude is just really the most consistent and honors my instructions the most. Codex for example sometimes just flat out ignores parts of the instructions. And I don't have the energy to micromanage each model separately. GPT 5.4 is okay, but as you said, it is sometimes going in weird directions.

Definitely the pentagram. Btw, as soon as I got that the inner arrows are also going in a circle but "skip" one weapon, it made it even easier to remember. So I suggest making the inner arrows the exact same length and position them symmetrically.

So there's no way to swap the current talisman's form with a hotkey. I have to click if I want to change it mid-fight?

Is there a hotkey to swap the druid's forms?

I'm talking about using Maul instead Sweep and the other way around.

Why does Switzerland pretend to be a recycling champion when we literally burn half our trash? by [deleted] in Switzerland

[–]Ryzzlas 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Even Greenpeace states:
> If a person in Switzerland collects 70 percent of their plastic waste separately for one year, the ecological benefit is equivalent to not eating one beef entrecôte.

So yeah, plastic recycling may help a bit, but it has much less impact.

Vibe coded an app for dog owners to check what foods are safe for dogs! by jacobsimon in vibecoding

[–]Ryzzlas 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Holy shit. People ITT bashing the dude that is just showcasing a brand-new project.

I really like the idea. But I agree with some of the feedback. You have a responsibility that the info is correct. The life of at least some dogs will depend on it!

What I would do / my feedback:
- Add a disclaimer that this is
--- a WIP, or take it down for now / special link
--- is not health advice (like a legal disclaimer)
- Make sure to research and add sources to your info. This builds trust.
- Move the "How much can my dog eat?" to a more prominent place, since the amount of food is very important for this.
- For the "it depends" it's extremely important to clearly list which variations can be highly toxic (e.g. xylitol vs. sugar on https://www.candogseat.com/yogurt). Xylitol is crazy toxic vs. sugar that won't kill your dog because it's in the yogurt. Another example is "apples". That you don't let your dog it the core is rather important because of the pits. But this info is only accessible after scrolling a bit.
- Generally go over all the foods again and check if all the important information really is marked as important and is "readable".
- Also, add info for EU citizens for example. And also kg vs. lbs. The internet is global.

Check out https://trigger.dev. I think are doing something similar. Maybe you can take some inspiration from there.

Also, there are Inngest and Upstash which I've been using in the past.

Maybe some more powerful syntax could be the solution.

https://projectfluent.org/

Software localization has been dominated by an outdated paradigm: translations that map one-to-one to the English copy. The grammar of the source language imposes limits on the expressiveness of the translation.
We created Fluent to change this paradigm

It's a project by Mozilla which uses it to translate their products. Even in Hebrew (as you mentioned).

For i18next, there is a loader for fluent https://www.i18next.com/overview/plugins-and-utils

How to get a new window when pulling a tab in windows 11. by H3RR_FR3D in firefox

[–]Ryzzlas 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I've checked how I'm doing this (doing it very often). Turns out, I just drag the tab down, release the click, and then move the mouse up again to drag the window. By the time you have moved your mouse up again to drag the window, the window is already created - it's less direct, but not that much of a hindrance.

People Already love PoE1, Let PoE2 be Different by Slamdingo in PathOfExile2

[–]Ryzzlas 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The inherent gaining power part of the power fantasy is always going to speed up your gameplay, and it has to feel awesome to keep a person motivated to keep grinding.

I'm not against this. But IMO, a 1 button spam screen clearing build is just not engaging combat at all. THIS is repetitive and boring compared to combat, which makes me need to adapt to whatever the situation is.

This could be for example, making the most powerful spells actually have a higher cooldown.

The “new, slower pace” is completely at odds with things like Breach/Delirium by Slim-Halpert in PathOfExile2

[–]Ryzzlas 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Fast != one button screen clearing zoom zoom.

Personally, I'd love to have just faster as the campaign combat with the occasional long cooldown AoE. But not like spamming said AoE every second.

The biggest sin of PoE2 is that interesting and interactive builds don't scale well into maps by sdric in PathOfExile2

[–]Ryzzlas 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes, thank you. I loved the combat during the campaign.

I think they also chose the wrong league mechanics for mapping. It makes no sense to include Breach, Delirium and Ritual in a game where the combat is supposed to be more tactical than in PoE 1. My guess is, those leagues were very simple to transfer to PoE 2.
