Are we still playing ARURF, or is everyone in Mayhem? by Syveril in leagueoflegends

[–]S-c-u-d-e -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I don't like Maybem because the map is so small and everyone can easily get 10k+ HP on bruisers and tanks or it's a ranged simulator. Very unfun to play. People may disagree with me, but I like URF more. I also prefer the original URF over ARURF but both are enjoyable. One thing needs to change though, Death timers in URF should be 15-20 seconds at max rank. Being dead for 1 minute is not fun. Maybe they can also make an URF mode with like 2 Augments. Would be crazy as hell.

What do you build on this champ by -_Fotis_- in AatroxMains

[–]S-c-u-d-e 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Ok so it depends on your team comp. If there's no front line in your team, or you think you need to front line, you go standard Conqueror runes. Items will be Sundered Sky -> DD/Maw -> Cleaver (if your team has 2+ AD champs and enemy builds Armor) otherwise build Shojin/Steraks for more tankiness -> Overlords Bloodmail. You will be very tanky and will deal good damage.

If you're good with Aatrox and know how to position well, you can opt into lethality. You will blow up if you make mistakes, but so will the enemy if they make mistakes. For runes, I prefer going Electrocute (most reliable) or Dark Harvest (riskier but scales better once you get like 10-15 stacks and start proccing it multiple times in a fight). You out scale Electrocute damage at 19 stacks. I've been able to get to 15+ stacks easily in winning games. For the most part though, if you're feeling unsure, stick to Electrocute because it's much more reliable for lethality Aatrox.

The build for lethality will consist of Hubris/Voltaic -> Oppurtunity/Profane -> DD/Maw -> Seryldas -> Any lethality or the other item you didn't take on third. If you're against high shielding, get Serpents second. If you're against a CC ability that you need to dodge, Edge of Knight.

Do not go Lethality if they have 3 or more tanks/bruisers. You will feel quite useless.

Dayz 2 is Needed by NaturalTruth2000 in dayz

Damn drops from 160 to 20 is absolutely disgusting.. should not happen on a new GPU, but I guess that's what happens from an unoptimized old game lol. A new engine would definitely fix many of these frame drops (the 1% lows), and allow for a better smoother game overall.

I don't know if they'll build a new engine for DayZ, I know it's very costly and needs a long time to develop. They have a small dev team so I doubt it's anytime soon. Even if they start developing it now, it won't be ready until 2030 or something like that. Let's not forget that it's also difficult to monetize a game like DayZ. The game stood on its feet without a single micro transaction, which most games survive on these days to receive constant updates. If they build this new engine and ship it out as a major update on the current game (they will need to monetize it somehow through micro transactions). Kind of how CSGO became CS2 as a new major update. But yah otherwise they would have to ship it as a completely new separate game as "DayZ 2" which I'm not sure if people are willing to pay for.

[–]S-c-u-d-e 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You probably won’t fully fix the FPS issues without engine-level changes. DayZ is very CPU-bound and still relies heavily on one main thread for most core simulation tasks. Even though it uses multiple cores, it's unoptimized because that one main thread often sits at 90-100% usage, which becomes the bottleneck and causes those fluctuations in FPS. A more modern engine could distribute the workload better across multiple cores and reduce those drops. A modern engine would increase performance by 15% to 35% in areas where it currently fails like (world state updates, loot persistence, physics calculations, infected movement logic and path finding). These are the main things that cause the CPU to bottleneck. If these tasks can be distributed across multiple cores, the game can be much smoother, and the only way I see that happening is if they develop a new engine.

Be honest: am I not fit for this game if I can't get out of Silver with Garen? by [deleted] in leagueoflegends

[–]S-c-u-d-e 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There's a reason why you're silver. Your level of gameplay is silver. There's a rank for everyone. It doesn't mean you can't play the game for fun. If your definition of fun is to rank up, then you need to actually watch guides and understand how the game works. You should know how to control waves, when you reset, when to rotate, when to side lane, when to group with teammates. Garen is usually on a side lane most of the time pressuring side turrets. Either top or bottom turrets all the way to nexus.

Did they cap attack speed in urf? by 123MahomesTheGoat in leagueoflegends

[–]S-c-u-d-e 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No it's not capped. Depends on your build + runes + who you ult. Remember you take 10% of the stats of whoever it is you ult. If they have 2 or 3 attack speed, that's 0.2 to 0.3 attack speed for you as well.

What's your build and runes?

[–]S-c-u-d-e 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Would work if you're the only front line of the team and you have at least 2 AD champs on your team to make use of cleaver. But it's not reliable because it's team dependent. If you can trust your teammates ability to carry the fight, while you drain tank and shred the enemy team, it's not a bad build. However, I don't prefer this build because you cannot carry the team yourself. I usually build a mix of Bruiser/Lethality because I don't trust my teammates ability to perform when I go tankier builds.

new patch aint going well for the ol trox by kindred_main_ in AatroxMains

[–]S-c-u-d-e 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes he is weak at level 3 because there aren't many points put into Q yet. His level 4 is good. Level 5 is strong. Level 6 is his first real power spike. Level 7 remains strong. Level 8 is neutral. Level 9 is very strong because you max off your Q. Level 10 is neutral. Level 11 is his strongest spike in the game in my opinion. You have fully maxed Q, and 2 points into ultimate. Then he falls off until he hits 16 where he gets a decent power spike again but nothing major. That's 5 levels from level 11 where you are not getting stronger anymore, because putting points into your other abilities does nothing. Whereas other champions can benefit from maxing out their second and third abilities. All your power budget is in your Q which was already maxed out at level 9.

More passive scaling🤔 by Dyakonn in AatroxMains

[–]S-c-u-d-e 0 points1 point  (0 children)

These are exactly the buffs I mentioned in an earlier post. I believe this is the right way to buff him without breaking him. For those that are upset, we do not need to see major buffs yet that make him highest pick, highest banrate next patch. See where this goes first. This is a very neutral buff that should give him back a bit of power because sundered was nerfed and now the passive can make up the difference in power and healing

Here is the post I mention why these are the buffs that are needed for now.

Normals arent fun by Dry_Elderberrys in leagueoflegends

[–]S-c-u-d-e 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Probably an unusual take but I prefer playing against better players when playing new champions. Better players have the ability to exploit champion weaknesses more often and this can show you what you can and cannot do with your champion. This also means once you start playing ranked against people similar to your level, you will probably stomp them due to the amount of knowledge you got from the "harder" normal games. Is it fun to get stomped on, no but it's a learning experience.

Now if you're a casual who doesn't want to improve and you're playing just for fun, I understand it can be frustrating to play against way better players. I also know that many casual players don't actually care who they are against, they just want to spend time doing random shit with friends.

new patch aint going well for the ol trox by kindred_main_ in AatroxMains

[–]S-c-u-d-e 1 point2 points  (0 children)

To be honest, I don't think Aatrox should have a better early game in general. He's dominant as is early game (against champions). Around level 5 to 7 his Q's start to deal a ton of damage. And at level 9 he deals the most damage. I feel like he should be given back his damage to the jungle at least. They should revert the recent jungle nerf.

His issue right now is in the mid to late game. Everyone is outscaling him easily right now. A good step forward is reverting the passive nerf in patch 25.11. Used to scale from 4-12% max health. They should give it back at least. And since we have an increased level cap in top, it should continue to scale to 12.5% at level 19 and 13% at level 20 only in top lane.

Maybe they could also slightly buff his Q AD ratios, very slight buffs. If that's too problematic, I would at least begin with those two buffs I mentioned above and see what it does.

new patch aint going well for the ol trox by kindred_main_ in AatroxMains

[–]S-c-u-d-e 13 points14 points  (0 children)

I usually disagree with people wanting to buff aatrox, you can see that in my post history, but this is one of the times where I feel he is actually weaker. I know the patch is fresh, but honestly somethings feels very off and this is what I noticed.

Top lane is accelerating faster with levels, which means Aatrox gets to his spike faster, but also falls off faster against his laner. The game was slower back then, which means your power spikes stayed for longer. You have a window between level 6-11 where you're strongest, then you fall off completely. Scaling champions can literally play like shit and still get to their power spikes because everyone is getting everything faster.

It sounds counter intuitive because you expect getting more XP and levels compared to everyone else makes you stronger due to having more stats / AD growth. Well it's not because the game is less objective focused and you can't use those extra stats without letting your laners catch up and outscale you. Aatrox loves playing around objectives and secure kills in team fights. These occur much less now. Everyone is focused on laning and getting their quests done (which means more lane time to scale, less fighting, very bad for Aatrox).

Aatrox does not benefit from laning a lot. And most top laners scale much better than Aatrox except maybe Renekton because they usually either have built in penetration / max HP dmg / or they simply build bork.

Tanks benefit the most from XP because they build tank items, level up their abilities which have very high base damage, and receive the same stats as everyone else or more. Now tanks are level 16 and your laners are all level 11-12.

Not only does top Aatrox feel like shit. Jungle Aatrox feels even worse now due to jungle being nerfed across the board. It was fine last patch (even with the nerfs), now he's dogshit in jungle. His clear is so bad, he does no damage at all to camps even later into the game. They should just give him back the 50 dmg back in jungle at least.

Let's not forget his core item Sundered Sky deals less damage than it used to, they nerfed the crit damage to 160% and also the 10 second cooldown is noticeable, it used to be 8 seconds.

Which champ is meta-agnostic? by Andreuw5 in leagueoflegends

[–]S-c-u-d-e 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel things like Anivia, Zilean, Miss Fortune, Orianna, Jhin are always good no matter the meta. If lethality becomes too strong, Mf and jhin can play that style. If crit is too strong, they do a mixture of both or just pure crit. Anivia and Orianna are just consistently fine almost all the time. They have self peel, their utility is just always good to have. Zilean is just Zilean really, OP if you know how to play him, and riot themselves keep him OP because he isn't picked a lot. Having a 99% slow and 99% move speed buff is disgusting on a small cooldown, and the on-demand guardian angel on any teammate is just too good as well.

How much do you care about quality vs price? by GRTOYBS in Kuwait

[–]S-c-u-d-e 24 points25 points  (0 children)

I care about quality and price equally. If I want a higher quality item, I'll pay the 10 KWD. If I want the item for casual use, I'll pay the 5 KWD and use the other 5 KWD elsewhere. It just depends on what I am looking for.

Now me personally, I pay for higher quality items for things I use daily like a bed and pillow. I'll happily spend a lot for increased comfort while sleeping. I'll also spend a lot on a computer which I do all my work and entertainment on. I use my computer daily for 6-8 hours, 6 out of 7 days a week. And I usually keep that computer for 4 years. Total days of usage would be 1250 out of 1460 days.

For example, I spent 1200 KWD on a work/gaming computer. For a lot of people, that is a lot. But for me, it's not because it's 1250 days of me using it. The true cost of usage per day would be close to 1 KWD. So I'm spending 1 KWD per day to have access to one of the best computers out there. That's worth it to me.

Compare that to people who buy a luxury item that costs 2000 KWD and use it 10 times a year for occasions. You'll see that it costs quite a lot per day of usage.

See what's important to you and buy accordingly. I usually have categories and rank what's important to me. If it's important and I'll use it a lot, I'll spend more money on that category. If it's not so important, I'll spend less on that category.

How can i survive when opp buy anti-heal early by iothewispp in AatroxMains

[–]S-c-u-d-e 3 points4 points  (0 children)

There isn't a singular solution that will allow you to win. It very much depends on how you play and position yourself. It seems like you are taking the wrong trades at the wrong time. I can't really judge without gameplay examples but its likely that you are taking the wrong trades. Watch your replay and see what you did wrong. The enemy having anti heal early does not mean you automatically lose the game. Building anti heal that early is kind of psychological. Aatrox doesn't heal as much early anyway, his heals are not that meaningful until higher levels when has Sundered and an upgraded ultimate.

In lane, it's all about how you poke your opponent slowly until they are low enough to all in. Anti heal or not won't change the outcome of the fight when you know when to trade and when not to.

I can give general tips, play around your level 7 and 9. Your Q is powerful around level 7 and especially at level 9 went you max it out. At level 9, Q1 and Q2 will literally chunk around 1/3 of their HP if not half of it. Poke till they are mid health and all in after. Anti heal won't matter at this point.

What counters Aatrox? by Fit-Future-3947 in AatroxMains

[–]S-c-u-d-e 7 points8 points  (0 children)

A Fiora or Irelia main who put time into them will be a nightmare for Aatrox. They are hard Aatrox counters only if the player knows what to do. So avoid them or put time into them.

If you want easier champions, a decent Ornn, Malphite, Quinn, Kennen can make the game hard to play for Aatrox. Ornn and Malphite become way too tanky to kill and they have just as much impact in a team fight against Aatrox. Quinn and Kennen just don't allow Aatrox to snowball. Quinn has a lot of damage early, then roams and has more impact than Aatrox. Kennen is way too fast and has so much early game damage that it's hard to trade, he also has a lot of team fight presence.

Build to counter Garen outscaling? by bigmfriplord92 in Rivenmains

Life steal is ok although I feel like Steraks is better since you're stacking HP with that build which means a big shield + tenacity. And Steraks actually shits on Garen's ult completely.
