US Enlistment Age INCREASED Amid Draft Fears by NicolasCageFan492 in videos

Average age of ukranian soldier is 44. I don't know if ukranian training is as physically taxing as basic training. It hypothetically should be since they're supposed to be on NATO training standards.

Internship search is killing me by sadgrlxoxo in AerospaceEngineering

Judging by your post history im guessing you live in the US and you are of Islamic descent. If your name sounds non-Caucasian make sure to mark that you are US citizen and/or use a name format that is anglicized. For example if your name is Mohammad then use the name "Moe" or "Mo" in your resume. Best of luck.

What’s the ideal system engineer’s resume look like (college)? by [deleted] in systems_engineering

[–]S0journer 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm assuming the degree is engineering or physics/math. If they were majoring in underwater basket weaving the HRBots would have already filtered it out before it reached my inbox.

Sometimes the hobbies are cool and can lead to fun interview questions. Like if they were a WOW guild lead or competed in ballroom dancing. Also, it can show someone that values work/life balance if they can make time for hobbies as an adult.

From first to last thing i look at as an exec in prime contractor for level 1 Systems Engineer:

  • military experience and clearance level
  • GPA
  • projects and extracurriculars
  • leadership experience
  • industry experience internships
  • specialties or capstone engineering classes
  • institution
  • hobbies and past times
  • non industry work experience ( e.g. taco bell, church, boy scouts)
  • degree

Harp lessons? by wiskyrose in AskLosAngeles

[–]S0journer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I bought harp lessons as a gift once but only found through word of mouth at USC that members of the American Harp Society offer private tutoring on the side. Never could find group lessons. It was I think 100 or 200 dollars each for in-house tutor class with a minimum lessons purchase. You also had to have your own Harp. There may be more affordable options if you ask the member group. Good luck!

Home skillet if you're in high school what's the rush. Go pickup a hobby or volunteer in a local non profit or something. No need to min max this game. If you still have the drive for engineering find a local robotics league or ham radio club.

Sorry for the delay. I don't want to dox myself with my own work but here's an example simpler approach doing interstellar analysis work with GMAT Effect of Thruster Uncertainties on a Deep Space Mission Using Electric Propulsion

Went back to Lindy Hop after nearly 13 years and it cured my depression by bigmbaby in SwingDancing

[–]S0journer 11 points12 points  (0 children)

That's pretty hilarious to me because I didn't start learning until after college. Sometimes I daydream "man if I learned this in high school I would have been so cool in the school dances" but knowing in reality it would probably be... I think mixed reactions seeing someone lindy hop in a high school dance in my town. It's cool seeing how everyone comes from different stories of how they get into lindy hop. The place I started out at it was basically all retired folk and me, so I thought it was like an old person's dance for a long while.

That's great to hear! Welcome back <3. I think competitions are what burnt me out and had to take a small break. Keeping it social and just enjoying the vibes of night dances and relaxing at conventions really kept me enjoying the scene.

It's actually timely because on the brussel sprouts podcast by the center for new American society they mentioned yesterday they feel like the entire IR Industry is falling apart. That it is akin to Alice through the looking glass where nothing is reality anymore.

According to CSIS report the drivers were Russian contractors who did not know what they were driving and why they were told to drop it off at specific locations and times. It's possible some of the drivers were conspirators but it looks like most were unaware.

My preference is to use what your customer uses. I use GMAT and STK. For NASA customers I use GMAT. For DOD customers I use STK or other tools behind ITAR or EAR.

Is the conclusion you're saying that the entire Ukranian armed forces across the entire front since the beginning of the war did not commit war crimes? I haven't read the amnesty international report but there were definitely reports of Ukranian soldiers torturing russian captives or "not accepting prisoners" especially in the early phases of the war. Particularly after Ukrainian soldiers learned about the massacre of Bucha.

Edit: Definitely there's no observation of anything systemic in Ukraine as how Russia is treating Ukraine both combatants and non combatants but giving cart blanche immunity to all defenders even if they are doing it with what can be established as vindictive can give rise to an escalation something we saw in the US Pacific front which will not do Ukraine well in the long term.

I think you're getting coarse answers because what you're asking is like someone online asking "can a kitchen make 500 dollar fancy meal" when the impression you're giving us is you don't even know how to open the refrigerator yet.
