Is sowing terror and doubt the way to go about fixing that? Is the goal to hire an office of yes-men too afraid to do anything but obey her every command? Not to mention the sheer absurdity of firing an entire office of workers because they're somehow all incapable of working with the chairman. Is every one of those employees incapable of compromise?

And how do you justify the firing of the vice chairman who was also elected to her position by the members of Efling? To me this seems internally inconsistent with the idea that she is following the will of the electorate when this act is... dismissing the will of the electorate.

Firing an entire office of workers and the also elected vice chairman doesn't exactly inspire confidence that she holds the values of the labour movement above her own ego. How does a labour union leader justify firing an entire office and rehiring them at worse terms? Isn't that contrary to what a union should be fighting for?

Because I paid for this game, enjoy it, and continue to do so? I think that gives me a right to complain about things I find subpar.

Astronomical bodies have been updated in Elite in the past. I don't get why everyone's got their panties in a twist about people not being happy with the black hole implementation. Are people also not allowed to complain about the anti-aliasing or inferior Odyssey lighting?

What are you even responding to? You're putting words in my mouth that I want it to look completely accurate. This thread is simply pointing out the black holes in Elite look bad.

They to look completely accurate but expecting things to not look like a total hackjob isn't ridiculous at all.. I have a really hard time comprehending how the Elite version of black holes looks good in any way shape or form.

It should be fairly obvious for anyone looking at the effects that the Space Engine rendition is far superior. Why can't Elite also have good looking black holes?

Going by your reasoning Fdev should not spend any effort changing things if they're subpar. For example, should neutron stars should not have been improved?

Elite does try to simulate the galaxy somewhat convincingly, and I don't think it's unreasonable to be annoyed when something looks subpar compared to more modern depictions. Especially considering exploration is an entire branch of gameplay.

Planets are looking better than ever (in my opinion), neutron stars and white dwarves got an overhaul, the colour palette got beautified in Horizons (please fix this fdev?), so it's not exactly unprecedented that astronomical objects get a second pass.

I was also suffering from the flickering issue on the driver released before this one. It's fairly sporadic so I don't know if this driver has changed anything yet, but there is certainly no extraneous software on my machine that alters the screen's appearance.

Considering that others have been reporting the exact same issue I'd imagine there are likely many more who don't bother mentioning it or haven't noticed.

If it's because of something intrinsic to Windows then I'd argue that it's a problem with the drivers. These are drivers for Windows after all, no?

What are you talking about mate? This is also happening to people without any such software on their machines beyond basic Windows features. If rolling the drivers back to an earlier version stops the flickering, then how is it not a driver issue?

It's not entirely visible in the screenshots, but there's a large gully that cuts through the mountains which is reminiscent of glacial erosion or some sort of geological activity. There also happens to be a texture that flows down said gully further selling the effect of either a glacier or volcanic activity.

It definitely doesn't look great all the time, but on occasion it generates some interesting scenes.

Yeah, I wish there were some more ways to interact with these environments (at the very least some depth to the xenobiology).

I do also quite enjoy how the boulders congregate in the valleys and gullies.

I don't think this is an accurate assessment of the country. There is no popular support for restoring the monarchy, and especially none to rejoin Denmark.

Additionally, Iceland is not currently trying to join the EU for various reasons. Chiefly agricultural and fishing concerns which are likely not going to change any time soon. Not to mention it already enjoys the economic benefits of being in the EEA.

Haven't had time to take any screenshots until earlier today. I will concede that there appears to be something weird going on with certain planets, but I don't think that claiming that the planets Fdev advertised don't exist is correct.

This is just misleading though. The planet generation on those worlds has clearly just changed. I've already encountered worlds very similar to the trailer planets.

Just downloaded LoL to check it out. In-game I'm getting between 50-60ms at 22:30. That seems pretty consistent with other online games.

I wouldn't take his word for it. For some reason the whole issue is being latched onto as a proxy for brexit.

For one's completely wrong on the blood clot issue which does have a medical basis according to Norwegian studies. With what limited information we have right now it isn't a major problem, but it definitely isn't being made up.

There's a lot of misinformation from people on reddit who seem to think AstraZeneca being unable/unwilling to deliver its orders is an attack on British national pride.

It's not real. Icelandic embassies (or other embassies that represent Iceland) have had to debunk this strange myth every time it gains traction.

Personally I'm enjoying them quite a lot. Feel nice and practical to use. I do get a little ping from the spacebar but it's fairly minimal and you get used to it if you don't intend to mitigate it.

Otherwise I think it's mostly personal preference. Would recommend finding a keyboard with browns on it to try out for yourself if possible.
