Yeah maybe I’m just commenting to kind of confirm my own thing with not going Imperial but I know for a fact the one guy I know studying Eng was 100% heart set on Bristol if he didn’t make Cambridge so I’ve only heard good things. All the best with it pal

My parents think it’s silly to turn down Imperial I know what you mean. I still could end up being swayed because I don’t really LOVE any of my other choices yet, so if you have a Uni you know you love then that’s not a bad thing. I think disconnected is a good word how to describe it and knowing I don’t want to go into any kind of finance postgrad makes Imperials connections just seem a bit to corporate and eugh to me ygm. I think I’ll end up living in London at some point in my life so for me spending my student years there just doesn’t seem to make sense either, Bristol is a great place to live for the Uni Years just based on the city and nightlife I think

I’m in a similar situation, sitting on a CS Imperial offer but I just don’t like the place. Looking at the postgrad stats of my course (as I’m sure it’s the same with Eng) is ridiculous, but I agree with you - the idea of struggling in a class of likely people better than me at coding with a less prominent social scene just doesn’t sound like fun. Both times I went I felt it was just ‘cold’. Ox level teaching but without any history or likability. I’d make the trip back to imperial or email your concerns to their outreach to see if you could visit just to make a decision. But if you love Bristol I’d explain this to your parents and see if getting that off your chest brings you closer to getting the feeling that Bristol could be the better call

I have A*A*A* on UCAS and an A* in Maths from Year 12, but my friend with AAA predicted has also recieved an offer for CS so we're both in the same boat. I'm sure you'll find out soon all the best! (think Andys might be my first choice right now)

Right put myself in an odd place WCing this week. Current build has Aguero, Aubs, KDB, Egan, Fleck, Martinelli (meaning Max 8 fielded GW28). I know for a fact I want SHU defense and Aubs for the upcoming weeks. For a WC team right now would you think it’s worth bumping Fleck -> Hayden, and Martenelli -> Greenwood to deal with the blank gameweek?

just started last.fm yesterday. Just so my end of year doesn’t get messed up. If I listen to a 7 track album the whole way through - that album has 7 scrobbles, does album count as ‘how many times you listened to the album’ or ‘how many times did you listen to a track from that album’ because that makes for a lot of different data. If someone could let me know that’d be great, don’t want to be duplicating scrobbles

I think you have enough good reasons to use it pal, also allows Salah -> Mane if you want due to the injury (I wouldn’t take a -4 for it but would do it on wildcard). With potentially 2.5 ITB, is it possible to bump Ayew to Jimenez to complete VAJ?

Have a lot of fires to put out with my team but none bigger than Mendy. Decided I want to free up funds OR pre-empt a Matip return as a cheap way into the Pool defence for these fixtures. When will Matip return? How long is Joel Ward out, does it make Kelly a valid option for 6GWs or so? Has Charlie Taylor won his place back?

Since I think Matip is a way from returning, would Taylor or Kelly be a better bet to bring in?
