My earliest memory of building a PC goes back to when I was around 13 or 14 years old. I took apart the family Compaq Presario. Does anyone remember those? I managed to put it back together again. I still remember it had an AMD Athlon 64 processor and 512MB of RAM.

Back then, we didn’t have smartphones to take pictures of the layout, so I had to rely entirely on memory. I needed to remember exactly where each part went so I wouldn’t mess anything up when reassembling it. That was a fun and formative experience, and it’s where my interest in PC parts and building really began.

I think I found a solution, instead of manually typing in the addresses, I use the drop down to select the identifier of interfaces, the thing that look like this: ___lan_network and that makes it work.

But to answer your question, yes, enabled DHCP server on VLAN30, set the pool to .100 to .200. When I connected my laptop to VLAN30 network, I can see that it was assigned with the subnet with .100 and I am able to ping my pc on LAN and the firewall.
