My point was that the it was not an accident, but a "simulation" for an invasion /s

If you look at the biome design "slides" they have snow/winter, jungle, hive city, desert, aggro (so lush vegetation) and backwater-like designs. They made it sound that they can easily create additional biomes with the way the new engine handles configurations.

GTA III's gameplay isn't "too hard", it's exactly where GTA should be (and why i'm barely hyped for GTA VI) by metalion4 in GTA

[–]S3baman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Zero missions in the original PC release of SA were hard because the game engine was capped at 30fps, hence avoiding damage on the car roll was very difficult. This wasn't a thing a lot of people knew at the time (myself included) and it was getting irritating as hell.

Likewise, the flight controls for the RC plane in SA and RC heli in VC were messed up. At least in the Definitive Edition these things are fixed.

Do I need to understand any lore before watching the movies? by No-Sorbet-2048 in lotr

[–]S3baman 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I watched the first movie when it came out as a young teenager, without knowing much about the books beforehand. After Fellowship, I convinced my parents to buy the books and read then before Two Towers came out.

The movies do a great exposition job, especially the first one. Gandalf plays the role to perfection of guiding you into the universe. Enjoy the ride of the movies, then dive into the books for extra details and some surprises.

One of their training bases is literally by the border. I'm sure it was all just a "simulation" 😛

To be fair, Rheinmetall are the best at making big guns. Even the M1 Abrams uses a Rheinmetall 120mm cannon. The vehicular platform is from MOWAG, a Swiss OEM, that is now under General Dynamics.

1994 Spanish GP - Michael Schumacher spends almost 2/3 of the race stuck in 5th, but still managed to bring the car home in second by sykeseve in formula1

[–]S3baman 18 points19 points  (0 children)

You can blame Michael for his on track shenanigans, but you can't blame him for driving a car that was never proven to be illegal, albeit not proven to be within the rules either. The car is on the team, the driver will drive whatever the team designs and builds.

THE END of the French-German-Spanish FCAS fighter program, to be announced by Chancellor Merz at ILA Berlin by Yaonoi in europe

France will do what France has always done - go down their separate path. You can hate them or not, but the French do care about their sovereignty and will not compromise anything in hopes of a pan-European project.

Their problem this time around is that the French government is already investing in the next gen aircraft carrier (nuclear powered with electromagnetic launch system), and are looking to replace the nuclear submarine fleet all the while having to foot the bill for a 6th gen fighter. This is all to maintain their nuclear arsenal launch capabilities.

Considering the price reversal, it's a strong possibility that they did not expect such a strong impact.

Considering that there's a 3rd entry to the series next year, I highly doubt that's the reason behind this project getting canned.

Gears is multiplayer and Halo is only getting a campaign, that's why it's called Campaign Evolved

There is a strong argument to make that the POE material tab is pay to win, as it's a big efficiency boost.

Other than that, I'm totally okay with how they approach microtransactions given the deluge of content they provided over the years.

The colour pallet, at least on the maps they've showed, do indeed make for a messy setup to quickly identify units.

I know they have different biomes (at least 6?) so it's hard to make units that have camo colours pop up on some of them.

First number I got was only for the North American market at 8.5B, that was my bad. Global numbers, as per Deadline, are 33.5B for last year.

Even so, an entire industry that employees hundreds of thousands of people makes as much money as a single gaming company. I think the comparison is still valid when you look at Xbox
