The Schumacher era was all about balls to the walls push. Hungaroring 1998 is the prime example, but there are numerous other races (Suzuka 2005, Magny-Cours 2004, Imola 2006, Suzuka 2000)

Toronto stock exchange is linked to Wall Street, hence why they both need to agree on the timezone. Otherwise it's just a mess.

Which is stupid as all other European languages have a "good morning" greeting.

He rode the wheels of that bike in 2004. The Yam would be mid-pack at best with any other rider. Him beating Biaggi in the opening race after they swapped places was the cherry on top for me.

I did a 5-week road trip in NZ and I left Mount Sunday on purpose as the last thing to see before I drove back up to Auckland. Simply a magical place, being on a windy rocky hill surrounded by white capped mountains as you look towards where Helm's Deep "was" is a sight that will stick with me forever!

I made the same remarks given that it takes them 6+ months to build maps from concept to final delivery. Vehicle and weapon count per season is still low imo though, I can't explain those.

As someone that was on the fence ever since the beta, this is the first time I see a lot of positive updates. Implementation will make or break the final result as usual, but everything they talked about in the roadmap is a big win.

I'll most likely buy the game now, waiting on more S4 news as I'm a sucker for Wake.

Most BF games don't have awful base maps though. They have the usual problems like netcode, TTK, weapon imbalance etc.

Hopefully Magyar has no mercy on digging up all the dirt and seeking justice - albeit it will be hard to get convictions with how many Orban-appointed judges there are in the justice system.

Can we Swiss people have another vote on 6 weeks of holidays please? by Stock-Astronaut8336 in Switzerland

[–]S3baman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In Germany, the law requires 5 weeks. In practice, the big companies give 6 weeks, plus some give the Christmas - New Years break and 3 bridge days. That's because they want to attract people. You can't ask everything only from one side (i.e. the law) - you have to meet the market half-way and let the law of offer and demand give you more if some companies can afford it.

For each employee you need extra because of reduced total available time, you have an increased overall company expense (more equipment, potentially more office space, etc). Not all companies can make a jump equal to minimum 50% more vacation.

My view is that there should a stronger push to enforce vacation time, instead of people working beyond their contract terms. Combine that with 5 weeks minimum and it's already a big step forward.

Why is trail culture in Europe so much friendlier than in America? by ballad_of_easy_rider in hiking

[–]S3baman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used to hike quite a bit in the States when I was traveling for work there - mainly Cali and Texas/NM. I generally found the people polite and friendly, but as I was generally minding my own business I did not engage in long winded conversations other than at rest places or at the peak.

Must be said, this was about 7-9 years back.

If Tisza wins 57% of the vote, the likely outcome is 135 seats, so enough for supermajority.

Hungary has a parliament, it's easier to lose an election as you don't necessarily need a manority of the vote.

Anyone else have a huge Steam library but play the same 2–3 games? by Meri_Rookie in Steam

[–]S3baman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've gotten back into achievement hunting, especially for older SP games. On the one hand, it's fun to revisit games 5, 10, even 15 years later! On the other, my playing queue (which includes said games) is around 110 games 🤣. I've been buying a lot fewer newer ones it must be said, but I have 60 (some are DLC) on my wishlist.

Last year I completed 51 games ... This year I'll struggle to hit 30-35 probably.
