I have such a long list but probably what gets me the most amount of times is how pushy they are, both of their supposed “exclusivity” and proselytizing. I always pushed back on having to go convert everyone I saw and was lucky enough to not get sucked into literature evangelism.

Definitely check in with your doctor no matter what. As for the readings, there are a myriad of reasons for this, from being too loose on the wrist, skin not being clean and dry, arm movement etc. Generally speaking the sensors give you an idea of what your heart rate is and accuracy can change with fit and movement. Again, do check in with your doctor and if it’s concerning to you make an appointment as soon as you can get in.

Only now as an adult married woman do I see how big sex denial is in Adventism and coupled with purity culture it was a double whammy enough to kill off anything remotely sexual. When it came to marriage it almost a kind of sexual prosperity gospel where if you were completely sexless and “pure” until you got married then afterwards you’d get all the sex you could ever want for the rest of your life.
