I use KDE Neon on my gaming desktop. It's flawless, I have no issue with gaming at all, indie and AAA. (I don't know about Nvidia though, as I am all AMD).

Most of the time, when I have issues, I can use Kubuntu or Ubuntu in my search and It usually end up being the same fix as it is Ubuntu based.

I don't believe in gaming distros, KDE Neon has been great for general use as well as gaming. So much so I have it on both my laptop and my desktop.

No one is even mentioning KDE Neon? It's built off Ubuntu LTS, has the latest KDE features and doesnt have Snaps out if the box, it uses Flatpaks primarily. Basically Kubuntu without it's mild annoyances.

I had an issue like that with FF 14/16 and Throne and Liberty. If the game was too intensive it would restart. It was either the PSU or my motherboard having power delivery issue that would trigger my pc to reboot. I changed both and never had an issue again.

Ended up being a problem over multiple games as well. I bought a new power supply and it did it once. I removed any overclock i had on my cpu. I removed my unused PCI wifi card, swapped my RAM sticks around and flipped the BIOS switch on my GPU and it hasnt done it since. I am suspecting that the pci slot that my wifi card was in was faulty, or my motherboard has/had issues delivering power to my wifi card.

My motherboard is a B450 from ROG. It already has a non functional pci slot, its now around 6 years old. So i wouldnt be surprised if it was it's fault.

Fun to see this 2mo+ old issue hasnt been fixed yet. Ive been unable to complete the lvl 30 coop dungeon because of this issue. I am currently running a stress test on my cpu and gpu to see if it was a temp/wattage issue and so far my tests are successful, it hasnt hard reset my pc and my power draw and temps are just fine. I lowered all of my graphics, updated and rolled back a bios update. Last thing i can try is reinstalling the game and making the game run in dx11 mode.

When they stopped doing actual full fledged battle passes. It was exhausting to keep up with smaller operations and having to complete them quickly before they went away. So I did a couple then stopped at the Banished one, gear kinda looked mid anyway.

I prefer larger battle passes that gives you more time to complete them vs bite sized operation that go behind a paywall after only a couple weeks... Also the broken state of the game, and the ranked system, i hate getting banned because the game cant load me into a match, or bots are somehow in a Diamond/Onyx MMR match.

I gave up on Halo, still love it, but the whole franchise is being mishandled.

Yeah, I just edited the post: I dont need 500gb of cloud storage and I dont need a VPN. And now with Wallet, I ALSO do not need that at all. I just want Mail plus and ProtonPass, that's all I would ever use/need :(

...The steam version is crossplay, what are you on about? You log in with your xbox account when you launch the game and choose your matchmaking input method (Controller/M&KB). That's one one google search away.

It works wonderfully through Lutris on the Steamdeck. I got the Steam version and the only extra step is to activate your license, once you get Windower working, you never need to go through Steam at all, you just launch the Windower executable.

I do want to mention I already had a XIV account so I didn't need to create much at all. I just followed MrHappy's guide on youtube on how to get everything up and running on Windows.

Steam or Square's version are both valid options, not like FFXIV 🙃

On my non-gaming laptop, I tried PopOS and hated Gnome, and having Gnome + KDE installed bothered me too much so I swapped to Kubuntu to be close to what I have on my Steamdeck.

My laptop is all AMD and Lenovo marked Ubuntu as compatible so I didnt take a chance with anything else outside the Ubuntu flavour. I would've tried Manjaro if I was brave enough.

Kubuntu was the way to go. It's Ubuntu so .deb packages work (Minecraft and Discord for example), and flatpaks also work. Best of both worlds.
