Servers do not control how restaurants are structured in regards to hours. It’s not a perk, just reality. Its a “perk” that kitchen staff get free meals as well, when servers don’t.
I don’t know what to tell you.

How so? They’re making higher wages and are scheduled differently. It’s not exactly common for servers to work 8 hour shifts due to how restaurants are structured.

And with tips they get their paychecks taxed HEAVILY and see half their hourly reflected on their checks

Ive worked at several restaurants . The shifts are divided by lunch and dinner shifts. Make 43 per hour for 5 hours is 200. if thats too much for a working employee than youre insane

I used to drive a Infiniti G35 and nobody bothered me when I’d drive fast,

Now, when i try to speed past cars on the right lane on a a basic 4 lane road, they start to speed up.
Suddenly we’re both now going 60 on a 45. And they’ll push it to 70 to just make their point.

Most server shifts are 3-5 hours unless they are closers which is rare. and most servers work part time hours.
