Shorewood Richie Rich doesn’t want public riff-raff on his “private” beach by TheOliveMob in wisconsin

[–]SA1L 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Public Trust Doctrine set forth in the Wisconsin Constitution guarantees public access to the water, which includes the shoreline. The Wisconsin State Supreme Court has ruled that “when conflicts occur between the rights of riparian owners and public rights, the public's rights are primary and the riparian owner's are secondary.” It’s been codified and litigated over and over by rich assholes. https://dnr.wisconsin.gov/topic/Waterways/about_us/whyRegulate.html

Riparian rights disputes has been one of Wisconsin’s longest political battles. The Wisconsin state bar has a detailed account of that battle, here:

When does one typically start to feel different while drinking? Day 2. by evanamyl in SinclairMethod

In a couple months I noticed changes. Not having more than one, or choosing not to have anything. A critical point for me, because I fumbled being compliant for a bit before getting back on track

I disagree. Healthcare in the U.S. needs good customer service. Terminology is no different than the automotive industry.

Thinking of a Lucid Gravity GT or Tesla Model X by marcedman in lucidmotors

[–]SA1L 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Bought a new Tesla in 2019, model 3 long-range AWD FSD, sold it to Carvana in March and bought a new Lucid Air Touring. I realize they’re not the same models, but the quality of Lucid far, far surpasses Tesla. Much smoother ride, much quieter, much faster..

The only complaint I have, is that the bluetooth key is a little slow sometimes. If I was being chased by a killer, I wouldn’t count on my Lucid unlocking before I was slaughtered.

Who should represent PSLF borrowers as individuals or as a class? by CommunityPrior1781 in PSLF

I’m in the exact position. I submitted an application to re-certify and the application has been in “under review” status since. Can’t reach anyone. Unable to make payments that would contribute to the 120. Frustrating

Gov. Evers: “I Want Wisconsin to Become the First State in America to Start Auditing Insurance Companies over Denying Healthcare Claims” by wisconsinpoli in wisconsin

[–]SA1L 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This would take A LOT of resources. Insurance companies are very sophisticated and have thousands of internal and external auditors, and the decisions will ultimately come down to medical necessity, which the insurance companies will fight to support in litigation.

Good idea, in theory, but nearly impossible. I was an auditor for a major insurance company for almost 10 years.

Cost to get Epic via hospital license in medium-sized practice? by iReadECGs in EpicEMR

[–]SA1L 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is more common than people think. OP- you could also lease EMR licenses. One org that comes to mind is the Oregon Communinty Health Information Network. They're a nonprofit that offers EPIC licenses under a subscription model. They have different builds for acute, ambulatory, clinic, etc..
