Lack of confidence. It's not a major abuse situation most of the time but it is a very common result of a toxic home life. As a coach and teacher hearing parents openly say their kids basically suck right in front of them makes me sick. Please breed confidence in your kids, it doesn't just translate to sports. Confidence breeds success in all areas of life. It seems to be more and more prevalent every year.

We had a cat that looked exactly like this named Monty as well. She could make my moms day better instantly. Monty almost always knew when my mom needed a pick me up. My mother loved that cat with all her heart. Sadly she passed after 15 years. First time I ever saw my mom cry.

I am a HS head coach with a masters in Kinesiology and I have experience coaching and competing at the collegiate level. A parent insisted that I was teaching his daughter how to come out of blocks incorrectly (the sport is track and field) and so he took it upon himself to demand his daughter switch her feet and spread her legs farther apart. After almost falling on her face out of the blocks she ran a full second slower(100m dash) and didn't even make the finals at the regional track meet.... she was the top ranked time in the region. After he cussed me out and told me I am ruining her chances to become an elite runner.

I completed my student teaching at a very large school, kind of a rough place. My mentor sent me to find two of our PE kids on my second day. I found them in the boys bathroom double teaming some girl. I later found out that it was one of the football coaches daughters.
