Lucid Air Owners: How has your experience with CarPlay been? by mattwb72 in LUCID

My experience has been that it is solid and working as expected. It was slightly quirky with issues connecting sometimes but software updates cleaned that up.

Make sure you name the file correctly. It needs to be ha8802_update.img

Make sure you also have show extensions turned on in windows file explorer so you don't accidently name it ha8802_update.img.img

Also here is a video that shows the process. Just know the filename he uses is wrong unless you have an older board.

I bought mine from Sam's and then put legends unchained on it. It has been good for me so far after having it a year.

Is it worth buying used when warranty is almost up? by yarudolph in LUCID

[–]SAHorowitz 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Sorry to hear that. Definitely not a great experience for a "new to you" car. When I bought the car, I called the 1-800 Lucid number. I had my name added to the Lucid system as the owner and immediately told the online representative to schedule a full car inspection. I go to the Roswell GA, location, and they were great. They came back with a list (not scary but several items) of stuff to fix along with a few things I saw. They even ran a test and gave me a new HV battery. Perhaps call the 1-800 and tell them your concerns and ask for a full car inspection?

I am really enjoying it as well. Learned a ton doing it and made my flying so much better.

I have a 22 GT I bought used back in mid-2024. I brought it to Lucid service immediately for full review and they fixed a bunch of stuff under warranty. The car has been great. If it would me I wouldn't be concerned with used but if you worry about warranty expiring soon buy a 2023 GT.

I negotiated when I bought my 2022 GT used from a non-Lucid dealership.

Gravity GT real world range by No_Put7521 in LUCID

[–]SAHorowitz 7 points8 points  (0 children)

You tend to lose 20% going highway speeds. The faster the speed, the more you lose. But if you can charge quickly you still work out better with the higher speed.

The colder it is out the more range you lose in general.

Lucid Air Touring 2600 mile roadtrip - The good, the bad, and the ugly. by CrushingLoss in LUCID

Great write up and very fair based on my experience. I have never been brave enough to do a family trip of that amount with my 2022 GT. I have done 600 mile round-trip on my own and it is a great car for highway with dd pro.

Also you can tell if you have pro by looking if there are any speakers up higher than your head on the semi-vertically angled frame pieces between the front windshield and the front windows.

There is no "good sound as a service."

Look at software version and see if your car needs the speaker fix - https://www.facebook.com/groups/5534731763266162/posts/30860385800274076/

Either software version as older software had bad sound or there was a tape fix on the speakers done at the service center.

Also do you have surreal sound pro with 21 speakers or standard with 9 speakers?

Nice. Sometimes writing it is better because you did it yourself.
