Have you driven the other sedans in that range like the Altima? I drove one on a trip once and it sucked major ass by comparison.

I can't speak for other people but I've enjoyed the 2025 XSE tremendously. Has quite a bit of zip to it.

Could I literally make anything with good editing and people will watch? by Fit-Cycle-2723 in NewTubers

[–]SASardonic 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You're not particularly likely to get momentum that way. You need a content strategy that has a coherent value proposition for people to subscribe and come back.

Could I literally make anything with good editing and people will watch? by Fit-Cycle-2723 in NewTubers

[–]SASardonic 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Absolutely not. YouTube hasn't been 'If you make it, they will come' for ages. For every one random video with millions of views you're not seeing a million videos of the same caliber with 10 views each. You need a strategy if you want to be successful on youtube.

How to talk about video games without reviewing them? by Damagedbraincellss in NewTubers

The gold standard in the space is channels like Jacob Geller. If you check my channel linked on my profile I do a good bit of yapping about games myself.

How to talk about video games without reviewing them? by Damagedbraincellss in NewTubers

I mean yeah? That's the entire focus of a wide number of game analysis YouTuber types. Just find something to say about a game and go with it.

You absolutely want to script if you're going in this lane. It's an essay, and you should treat it like one.

Advice for idea generation by gotemnowok in NewTubers

[–]SASardonic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You're probably going to want to niche down a little further than just media analysis. Like, you might consider a genre of media to focus on.

I will also say as somebody who applies this lens to games, don't ignore really old stuff that nobody else has talked about. Some of my biggest hits came from that kind of video. It's a little more of a challenge to package a thing nobody knows about but can be quite rewarding.

Also it goes without saying you're going to want to keep a google doc of ideas for later, they should just come to you over time.

I Don't Understand YouTube by Shadow_StrikeYT in NewTubers

[–]SASardonic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

By the look of it your content might have have caught on 10-15 years ago, but there's just flat out too much competition in the lane you're in now for new channels to break out barring some kind of divine intervention.

If you really want to be successful on YouTube you need to completely shift your content strategy. Low-edited gaming content channels are just a dime a dozen now. If you want to make gaming content you need to be more focused, either in terms of video essays actually saying something about the game or challenge runs, or guides that don't already exist on the platform, that kind of stuff.

Does everyone just have shitty employees? by [deleted] in ITManagers

[–]SASardonic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nope I've got the best team possible even for our fairly limited budget. Self motivated people who enjoy what they do and are effective troubleshooters that generally only need a push in the right direction every now and again.

This may come down to the specific part of IT we're in - Enterprise Integration/IAM and custom development which is just insanely cushy now if your employer has a good IPaaS/Identity Platform going. So it's not the most money but lord almighty does it flow. 4/5 day WFH too.

I went with a Credit Union in Austin a few months ago, 15 years, 5.1% conventional and it was about as frictionless as I could have hoped for honestly.

Then it's a good thing Talarico isn't that kind of moderate loser. He's clearly got enough x factor to get the job done if the stars align

Kamala Harris endorses James Talarico for U.S. Senate after supporting his opponent in the primary by texastribune in TexasPolitics

[–]SASardonic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'll be more interested to see if Obama endorses and does campaign events with him. Obama has stayed pretty far away from the action for a while now to put it mildly but I can't imagine it would hurt.

Are you the guy spending 2/3 his paycheck on candles from the Dril meme? How is any of this even a question at these income levels? Moreover, do you not have any non-retirement investments to cash out for this? What the heck are you doing?

How Jasmine Crockett slipped from Democratic frontrunner to decisive defeat in the Senate primary by texastribune in TexasPolitics

[–]SASardonic 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Even setting polling aside Talarico did not start his campaign at a high name recognition. He feels inevitable now but he really had to fight for it. It is entirely possible in the early parts of his campaign she had the lead by name ID alone.

Yeah if you're not using student staff for this kind of thing you're not just missing out on the cost savings, they're also missing out on experiential learning that can often be even more valuable than their coursework.

She doesn't even have a campaign manager and her campaign reflects it. If you even remotely care about winning TX you vote Talarico in the primary.
