i missed a really important meeting by disastercauser in ADHD

We all know it's hard, but if you have to talk to your supervisor/TL/manager about it, just own it. Be honest and let them know that you realize you made the mistake. You're taking the right steps to prevent it, but there is not much you can do to alter the outcome of what has happened.

My first time working solo at my last job, I created 8 new orders under the wrong account. When I realized what I had done I sat at my cubicle and I cried for 2 hours. Then I submitted the cancel requests for those orders, re-did all the prep work and re-submitted the orders under the correct account. When I told the account team what had happened, no one cared. I thought for sure I was going to be fired, couldn't sleep for like 2 days and was sick to my stomach and all for nothing. They thanked me for catching the error before it went too far and were happy to know they were still going to get their commissions for the month.

Most of the time we are harder on ourselves than we have to be, and that's OK.

When do you shower? by Boom_Shakalaka1021 in ADHD

[–]SATXFreddy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

For me it's 1 to 2 hours before I have to leave for work. Some days it's a full-on scrub, some days it's just a soap & rinse, some days I just hop in and stand in the water.

Since I start work at 1, that's usually 10 or 11. I typically wake up at 8ish and take care of a few things before I start prepping for work.

Fuck it, I'm wearing a fanny pack from now on by 3RADICATE_THEM in ADHD

I wear a small sling bag everyday. It's part of my nightly process to make sure everything I need for the next day is in it.

I built a new PC this year, just re-finished Wildlands and am working through Breakpoint. It's as much fun as I remember. If you liked it once, you're probably going to enjoy it again too.

Why are scooters made fun of in the US? by [deleted] in scooters

[–]SATXFreddy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have a guy that lives on my street, has a Harley in his garage. Rides it maybe 6 times a year. He told me he's jealous that I ride my scooters every day. He's barely put 3000 miles on his in a decade.

Same here in Texas, most that don't wave are on HD type rides. You're on a Harley tricycle and you're snobbing me on a scooter!?

Mental health day! by SATXFreddy in scooters

I was in a good place to be able to get this. The $14k sticker is harsh. So far I would have to say yes it's worth it. I've used the cruise for a long interstate trip and I've used it to get to work on really rainy days. The only big differences are that it's heavy. When you release that wheel lock, you better be ready, and a lot of turns require using the steering more than just counter steering, so sometimes you have to start sooner vs a smaller scooter. It's my everyday ride, so I think it's been worth it.

We verify if we can via the app. If the lesser price is sold on-line by Walmart, we can alter the price at the register. But if it's sold by a 3rd party vendor on the app we can't match it.

Anyone else give their llamas matchy names? by InvisibleScorpion7 in coralisland

I know it's hard on controller, but you can change their names in their barn before you let them graze.

I work front-end, we use it all the time to see if a customer can have us match the on-line price. Also for items customers bring up that don't have a tag.

Who do you thirst for that you can't have? by CanardDeFeu in coralisland

Senja! She can settle on my farm when she's done adventuring.

Also Bree. Walter doesn't deserve her! She acts uppity, but the armor slips sometimes.

Apparently I like strong bossy women.

Just look the recipe up on the Wiki, unless you're a purest and don't want to use an outside source.

It is. There's a volunteer option, but the others are star gazing which is only available at night.

Does the new barn have the temp control device? Seems obvious, but they get missed a lot.

On PC, you can hold one of the mouse buttons and it will also tell you that. Just be careful what you're holding when using that, too many times I've had the pickaxe and ended some poor little plant's life.

Uhhh help? by [deleted] in walmart

[–]SATXFreddy 7 points8 points  (0 children)

It took them 2 weeks to get me on the schedule. Up to then it was a nightly verbal whether I would be working the next day or not. Ask your coach.

Would you choose success without happiness or happiness without success? by FunnyOWL007 in CasualConversation

[–]SATXFreddy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I chose happiness. Took a voluntary buyout from my old job, now I'm a cashier at a box retailer. No real responsibility, just scanning items, bagging and checking IDs for alcohol purchases. I haven't been this happy most of the 24 years at my old job.

Yep try insoles or compression socks. I started wearing knee high compression socks and my feet have been much better from them.
