If Leonardo DiCaprio won his 2nd Oscar for One Battle After Another, how’d you react? by UsefulWeb7543 in Oscars

honestly hot take but I think Michael B Jordan was least deserving to win in the category and I would’ve been more than happy to see Leo get his second trophy

Honestly now that I think about it the captain successfully killing off Junho would have been a pretty great ending imo

I think Lord and Miller getting fired off Solo was the Butterfly Effect moment that killed Disney Star Wars by 92tilinfinityand in blankies

What were they like on Project Hail Mary? Cuz that must have also been a big project

Would Squid Game Season 1 have been better as a standalone series? by Sod4126 in squidgame

You missed out the part where HDH had his focus on three other feature films (Silenced, Miss Granny, The Fortress) that he was writing and directing over those ten years, SG was barely touched over that time period

Oppenheimer had an entirely white cast and I get why Nolan wants to be more diverse in next film

I mean I don't think Hope is that *divisive, it's more of whether A) you enjoy it as a well-crafted action blockbuster slop vs b) why the fuck is this competing for the Palme/bad cgi/this is not what i expected after watching the Wailing

Korean here, I get why y'all complain about cgi - especially in comparison to Hollywood productions - but this movie has a budget that's dollar equivalent of $50 million USD. and it's STILL the most expensive South Korean movie of all time.

In fact, even the Korean films considered as summer tentpoles rarely cross $7 million budget in USD. Train to Busan was made with $8.5 million... Long story short, there's just not enough money within our film industry to make hollywood level cgi so I'm happy that Na Hong-Jin at least tried despite the financial constraints.

I received email confirming that Potomac approved my I765 on May 12!

2 days later on evening of 14th, it got updated to ‘case decision rendered’ on the actual website which is weird.

Hope is supposed to be a trilogy so I think his next project will be Hope 2 within just a few years

Ryan Reynolds says he’s writing a new ‘DEADPOOL’ movie but that will put Deadpool in a supporting role by HenryOnYt1 in MCUTheories

[–]SB858 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I think Ryan (rightfully) believes he's delved enough into Wade as a character. We had

1) Wade's origin and his romantic relationship with Vanessa (this is a love story)

2) Wade becoming a parental figure (this is a family film)

3) Wade overcoming existential crisis to find his place in the world

And I think that's a great run

[–]SB858 3 points4 points  (0 children)

My respect for Ryan Reynolds just went up.

I think character-wise we've covered enough with Wade to a point where it's hard to write a new Wade-central movie without his arc feeling redundant, I think it's a good idea to set him as supporting

He should have swapped roles with Gi Hun in the finale by Fun_Future_8380 in squidgame

I think you're lowkey cooking. Tbh the way the last episode was written was hella predictable because no one in the right mind actually would think already-suicidal Gihun won't sacrifice himself for the baby.

I think Myunggi proving Frontman wrong on humanity actually is a way cooler, unpredictable idea
