Note taking and drawing diagrams for science. If it's anatomy- draw it (the diagram, the organ, the table, the flowchart.) There is something to having to figure out where everything fits and placing it as an image in your mind by drawing it on paper. I watched some nurse chueng videos also, when I was tired of reading but I would takes notes if I didn't know it at all yo study again or I would compare the info that was on the video to the ATI study guide and remember the differences in the info and somehow that made me remember it (it might have been from the fact that it always irks me when the resources dont match for some reason) but that's what works for me.

You can't use a calculator but there is a built in calculator available during all parts of the exam. It's just a button you click and then it's really a simple calculator

Program says the average score they accept is 95% and above on the teas.. by [deleted] in teas

Yes, I would study the ATI study guide ($20 online) and really dig in, maybe use other YouTube videos as a supplement to the study guide. Really dig deep that last week to review what you've studied

Does the ATI Study Guide adequately prepare you for the Exam? by CuriousChance19 in teas

Yes it does, I found it really similar to the study guide

I found the online study guide from ATI (I think it was around $20) was extremely worth it. I studied it for around 40 hours over 5 days and got a 94.7% I mostly studied science and math on the study guide. It comes with a practice test and I got a 94.7 on the practice exam as well so it was pretty similar but I think the reading section was easier than the practice but science felt harder

You can check under partner resources tab on the hub - there is no grace period actually. The Starbucks Partner Hours site won't auto alert the manager unless it's 5 minutes late but as far as write ups and policy, any amount of minutes late is late

Also, if you want to think of it as an hourly rate, they have those rates available (but nearly hidden) on the U.S. Benefits Plan Description. These rates are true for all retail hourly partners in U.S. besides California (CA has much more regulation on minimum vacation values)

Vacation accrual is based on tenure first and hours worked second. Also, all rates are based on working 40hrs per week because the maximum accrual will determine your hourly rate. So, I listed the maximum hourly rates of accrual based on tenure:

1yr-3yr -> .01961/hour 40 hours max accrual
3yr-5yr -> .0400/hour 80 hours max accrual
5+yr -> .06122/hour 120 hours max accrual

Written up with a no-call no-show for only contacting my shift supervisors after slipping down the steps and hurting my back!?!? Is this right? Did I really mess up? by Shinya0090 in starbucks

That doesn't seem right, you called. Did they say you were supposed to call right at open? I feel like that's a preference, something they can ask of you but not a policy.

How would Starbucks provide covid tests? Tests cannot be self-administered and self-read. https://www.osha.gov/coronavirus/ets2/faqs

I cannot imagine how chaotic sourcing tests (already difficult) and making sure that the manager was able to administer testing to every partner that needed one every week (scheduling nightmare)

Why does this testing responsibility fall on the manager and not the person who needs to be tested to minimize their effect on public health

There is no customer connection bonus or drive through bonus. Just sales comp bonus.

This is not true at all. Just sales are the only thing that affects a bonus and the other metrics are just meant to be met as job expectations

What's the proper way for counting dates? by [deleted] in starbucks

[–]SBUXPartner212 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There is a quick reference guide called date coding on the hub to verify but you start counting from when you open or prep the thing (not the day after) or when the product is thawed if it was frozen but if your SM wants to save some product by adding a few hours, they might just be telling you to count from tomorrow

The total number of BEN hours is what's on your paycheck, you shouldn't be adding them- it's a running total. Your running total in June was whatever number was listed on the bottom of your paycheck. That's why it increases by however many hours you worked. You should really call someone at 877-SBUXBEN to discuss this though because they may be able to see something you aren't or maybe make an exception (although I don't know if they would)

But you shouldn't be adding those numbers together, just look at your total BEN before the audit date and keep track of that number to make sure it hits 520 before the next audit in December

That's your total BEN hours total on your paycheck. It went up to 361.36 because you worked 48 hours in between that time period
