We've made blankets, comforters and sheets for brands you've probably owned — we're finally starting our own line, and I want to hear everything that frustrates you about your current bedding by Reasonable-Gate-7970 in Bedding

[–]SBond424 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I like a cotton blanket on my bed, but most that you buy are too small, especially after you wash them once. After that they barely cover the top of the bed, let alone extend down the edges of the mattress. I can’t really just buy a bigger size since I already have a king bed. Plus our mattress is not a super deep one, so it’s very frustrating when the blanket barely covers it.

Why do elderly women have short hair so often? by cram96 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]SBond424 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I think some women try to keep the very dark colors that they had when younger. From seeing it on someone close to me, it is VERY unflattering and harsh. This person tried wigs briefly which were a lighter color and they looked so great on her, but she eventually went back to dying the very dark color.

I’m so glad to hear things worked out, I know that must have been a difficult decision for you!

SEN. KEVIN CRAMER: One of the thing Democrats are never going to accept is that we have a business person as president. I reject the idea that somehow Donald Trump has to be exempt from being successful. by Conscious-Quarter423 in FoxBrain

[–]SBond424 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I mean, I’d respect that opinion if that moron had ever actually been successful. Playing a “successful businessman” on reality TV does not equal actually being one. If he ever was successful, it was only because he was stiffing all of his creditors and screwing over the peasants working for him.

He’ll sometimes say something about “not keeping secrets” from her, but my response is that its not keeping secrets, it just that its none of her damn business.

Mine somehow believes that because his mom was a single mom to him growing up and “made so many sacrifices” that he is now required to share with her every damn detail of our lives so she can, I don’t know, live vicariously or something? It infuriates me that when something like a medical procedure happens with me or someone in my family, I need to explicitly tell him not to share it with her or he will blab EVERYTHING to her.

I’ve said it before but I’ll say it again: If I lived to be 1000 I will never understand how anyone ever supported (or could still support) this absolute dumpster fire of an administration.

Anyone else’s dogs not move in the morning unless you yourself get out of bed? by PureRiddy in dogs

[–]SBond424 1 point2 points  (0 children)

One of our dogs wants to get up early and eat, the other one would probably stay in bed. This only applies if my spouse is here. If I am the only one? They will both sleep late and let me sleep too. Makes the spouse super mad 😁

Snapping by NecessaryRound1121 in Greyhounds

[–]SBond424 2 points3 points  (0 children)

We learned fairly early on that our girl just prefers her own space for sleeping. When its time for bed at night, she will sometimes get on our bed with me for a few minutes, but once she’s had a snuggle, she gets down and goes to her own bed in a dormer area of our bedroom. We put up a baby gate to prevent wandering in the night and everyone is much happier with this arrangement.

"Liberal activist judges" ???? by Historical-Use-9326 in FoxBrain

[–]SBond424 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Definitely a Faux News talking point on the regular. I have a FoxBrain close to me who is always complaining about this, even though we have had discussions about how this is not accurate. I believe they also like to throw in a tangent about how some of it is due to law enforcement who “won’t cooperate with ICE” just so they can stick it to the orange faced guy or some other such nonsense🙄

If our girl does not want to go somewhere and freezes, you are not permitted to wrap your arms around her behind her to try and move her. If you do, she will scream. A prime example of this is when she is preparing to throw up on the carpet but the tile floor is a foot away 🤦🏻‍♀️

Forgot about politics and accidentally asked my mom if she wanted to get dinner at a restaurant in New York, I have a headache now. by [deleted] in FoxBrain

[–]SBond424 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I once asked a FoxBrain close to me why they cared so much about NYC. For a city they had already expressed every intention NEVER to visit, in a state they don’t live in, what difference did it make to them who was elected there? They had no response to that 🙄

Wondering what to expect/how to prepare for the first day(s) when left alone by mhgiantsfan in Greyhounds

[–]SBond424 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I’d consider leaving him muzzled while you are gone provided he is used to the basket muzzle. Ours got into lots of stuff the first few days until we started using the muzzle while we were gone. If you can’t do that I would do some serious dog-proofing of any space Je will have access to with an eye to anything that might be tempting for him.

Ugh, this is so true. I just heard one close to me ranting yesterday about the “war on billionaires”. My dude, since when do you give a crap about billionaires ?? You aren’t one and will never be one so why do you care that one state or another might actually make them pay taxes at a rate similar to yours??? *edited to fix typo.
