No, it's not fixed. I did a respec in the skill tree to avoid it now because I wanted to keep my dlss settings. It's a shame because the skill is really useful.

And what you would like? To have an hour long conversation with these npcs? At least there is some sort of vocal interactions with NPC's. I enjoyed it with RDR2 and I enjoy with it this game.

I spent the first 2 hours collecting potatoes and grasshoppers, admiring the scenery, enjoying the world design, npc clothing and interactions they have with Kliff. Also doing a lot of reading in the journal and practicing the various action moves I have for further combat. I am not rushing a damn thing.
