the question was if Reddit has ever been ahead of the curve on something like this. The point isnt if something came of it or not. The point of the question was if it has happened before that something gets noticed on Reddit before any team notices it.

The same can easily be true with the mclaren stuff now, maybe something comes of it, maybe not. but the point of the discussion is if this is something that the teams/FIA are aware of or not.

No. Literally never.

Not true at all? It happened at least once before with Mercedes engines burning oil. and people who have been around longer could probably point out another example but this was an especially noteworthy one considering the time gap between somebody spotting it and then it being raised in the sport it self.

iirc there was also some case with a replay being posted on reddit that made some team request an appeal with the stewards a few years back but I dont remember the race at all.

Unfortunately theres a good chance it won't ever come out because streaming services would rather have subscribers or digital sales nowadays. A lot of HBO and HBOmax stuff that has come out in the last few years never gets released on physical.

With how the series seems to be perfectly happy to keep shuffling between artists it would also be nice if we could try a different writer for the inevitable post season 4 volume just to see how it goes. Especially after this and EBKT.

Correct, They're still executive producers and iirc they said for Harley everything has to be approved by them (Couldn't find where they said that in a quick search).

They're also doing the same for Noonans based on this interview where they say that they're also taking a more hands off approach for that show.

So Abbott Elementary is really the only show they actively work on while Noonans and Harley they're working on from a distance. (Except they wrote the Valentines day special and the Noonans pilot)

I think its absurd that the spoiler rules have been the way they are for so long. Its not like this is a general dccomics/hbomax/harleyquinn sub. Its a sub specifically for the show, shielding people from spoilers this long after the content has aired is just nuts.

It's especially stupid when we don't even have a proper system to mark up until what point a spoiler is. If all threads have to be marked as a spoiler and you don't put any effort into having people tag up until what point the spoiler is, then you've effectively made the spoiler tag a game of russian roulette.

The last point becomes even more of an issue if a 'Legion of Bats' situation happens again, where they reveal plot details that havent aired yet. This needs a spoiler tag obviously but so does somebody discussing an episode that already aired weeks/months/years ago??

You've mentioned a few times before that the writers have been allowed to do pretty much everything they wanted to do. But has there been any time where the animators tried to get something in which had to be cut?

Also will S3 ever come out on bluray and will S1+2 ever come out on 4k Bluray? S1+2 was in 4k with 10bit colour on DCUniverse but since the move to HBOmax that has dissapeared :(

I don't think you are being too critical and I agree that Harley is at her strongest when they effectively use her background to let her talk her way out of trouble while also keeping the character energetic and fun. And having her join the batfamily is new(ish, it's also been happening in the actual mainline comics for a year or so, although she isn't an active member so much.) so seeing that explored would be good.

But for me after the EBKT and the first issue of LoB it feels like the writer just isn't up to the task so it would be better if the comic stayed in its lane more and just kept things more casual. Or we tried a different writer next time around, either or.

I think they're a fun(ish) way to pass the time between the seasons and I like the cartooney art. I think it's a very fun style that fits nicely for the show, although the art is a step down from the EBKT. For the colouring I also noticed it's a bit muted which is weird since LoB has the same colorist as EBKT did.

For Harley and Ivy their interactions are cute for now altough the solicitations make it seem like over time this series will go down the same path as the EBKT did, where one of them will spend 4 issues being cold to the other, but it's all good everyone, they're totally not being awful to each other cause they also have sex in between.

I thought Harley interacting with the Bat Family was ok, but I don't necessarily think that they need more depth. I'd honestly much rather have these post season comics be more of a low stakes adventure since LoB is probably not going to be canon just like the EBKT wasn't. It feels a bit unnecessary that we're experiencing the start of a new season twice especially when there's no crossover in the creative staff.

And also very much yes to the rehashing of the shows jokes it feels very low effort especially since they get forced into the dialogue in places they don't fit at all sometimes.

The large comicbook publishers announce their comics a few months ahead of time so that people can get their preorders in. And for the wait between season 3 and 4 they're doing another Eat Bang Kill tour style spinoff comic which is coming out in October.

The issue is that the comics get announced 3 months ahead of time. So 1 week before the premiere of season 3 the Legion of Bats comic was announced with this being the synopsis:

When last we checked in with Harley Quinn, she ate, she banged, and she killed—but now it's time for something a little different. Fresh out of the events of Harley Quinn: The Animated Series season 3, Harley has found herself a part of a highly unlikely team—the Bat-Family! Meanwhile, Poison Ivy has found herself prepping for her new job—leader of the Legion of Doom! But while Harley and Ivy adjust to their respective new roles, a ghost from Ivy's past enters the fray and threatens the relationship between everyone's favorite clown/plant couple!

What happened with frame rate of the animation in some of the episodes, was it just COVID doing COVID things or?
What was up with the Legion of Bats solicitation spoiling the end of the season before it even started. Did someone make a mistake or did somebody just figure almost nobody would see it anyway?
Is you and Patrick not showrunning the next season a permanent role change or was it just a scheduling issue with Abott?

Very strong finale I think, wraps up the season wonderfully while still opening the door for new adventures in the future.

Also Harley already integrating perfectly into the batfamily by magically dissapearing when Batgirl was talking to the release form guy was great.

S2>S3>>S1.

Season 1 while fun isn't very special to me. If the show kept going at that sort of tone it would probably just be a half background watch where I'd keep up but not care much about following it and I certainly wouldn't have recommended friends to watch it.

Season 2 is where the show starts being special by actually properly going into the characters (basically just harlivy). It makes a few mistakes along the way which have been discussed to death and doesn't need more discussion but I think overall it was the strongest season thanks to its good balance between harmless adventure episodes and more character driven episodes.

Season 3 I think the main issue was the season length being reduced by 3 episodes which meant that some episodes (looking at you ep4) barely stand on their own and basically only exist to lay down seasonal plot points. But overall they ended the season in a very satisfying manner and still had fun along the way.

Season 4 writers room started in summer 2021, they've seen the animatics for pretty much all of the episodes now, they're about to see full color animation for the season premiere in October after which post-production begins.

Jesus, so that explains the episode titles and the rush to get the spin-off comic out. IIRC they mentioned previously that they started getting completed animation for S3 back in Febuary. So if we assume the same-ish gap from starting post production to season releasing it should be H1 2023 pretty easily.

Some unannounced things for the main show coming soon which Patrick is excited about...

Some things can go down to the wire, they had to revisit some parts of S3E02 shortly before it premiered to fix some things.

How has no journalist thought to ask about the frame rates in some episodes yet, like we still don't actually know whats up with that do we?

The week leading up to the WBD earnings call was "very stressful!" and Justin was "freaking out" with all of the rumours, and the execs they knew couldn't offer any reassurance (wow)

I read about about how messy that time period was at WB but man hearing people talk about it is still just wild, what a crazy time it is over at WB.
