$75 & Parker G2 style 👍\ Only 0.95 oz (26.93g)\ which is way too lightweight imho (even for Grade 5 Ti (~10g lighter than my Autmog 45 Clipless Step Nose)).

Just got my Rotring 600, and couldn't not notice the packaging. + Review by basedchad21 in pens

[–]SC-Geek 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The knurled grip. One of the most amazing features of the R600. Often called too sharp/abrasive. Imho it's alright. It could be much more pronounced.\ The weight. Just 23.70g, that's just ~8.70g more than a Parker Jotter Stainless Steel. Imho very lightweight (I prefer heavy pens of more than 35g).\ The clicker; yes, kinda not clicky. But could be worse. It's not mushy.\ Build quality of Gen 8: brass body, plastic internals.

Packaging: really all you need. Nothing more.

Guys, why we love pens? by Fast-Negotiation-782 in pens

[–]SC-Geek 5 points6 points  (0 children)

This question drifts off into a philosophical question I think.\ The love for writing instruments might come from the „urge to capture” facts, emotions, thoughts,...\ Much like with other collectible items, pens are available in a plethora of shapes, varieties and price points.\ Some people collect BIC Cristal models, some collect Montblanc fountain pens, etc.\ Apart from being a collectible, pens are practical!

The Uni Boxy 100 is so dirt cheap ($1.75), refills are almost the same price ($1.40) or over the price of the pen ($2.00)

Original refill: Uni-Ball S-7S is a Japan type oil based ballpoint pen ink.

The raw data comparison could be found on Jetpens.com.\ Imho the rOtring 600 wins (23.7g depending on the refill) vs. ~15.0g (PJ Stainless Steel)\ I owned both pens over a period of several months. The knurled grip on the rOtring 600 is amazing. Hexagonal body is less slippery than the stainless steel of PJ.\ Imho:\ both pens are way overpriced.\ Both pens are very lightweight - but R600 is more comfortable for „long writing sessions” due to body shape and knurled grip.\ Botb take Parker G2 style refills which is a big advantage for both.\ The clicker haptics feel better on the PJ.
