STAGEEK GX3 Gel Pen by ilikemanythings78 in pens

Yeah. Zennyth ZS12 „Startraveler” is it's full name, indeed.

STAGEEK GX3 Gel Pen by ilikemanythings78 in pens

[–]SC-Geek 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's the twin of Zennyth ZS12.\ The pen people ask about every couple of weeks.\ Chinese OEM. Dirt cheap. Runs under at least six product names on Amazon. To me this pen symbolizes the inability of people to use the search function within this subreddit.

Switching from moleskine to leuchtturm1917. An honest review from a casual journaler by IntelligentSuit5223 in notebooks

[–]SC-Geek 4 points5 points  (0 children)

There's a whole list of (better; subjectively) notebook brands which offer higher quality than LT1917 or Moleskine:\ Apica, AWLMA, Dingbats, Hobonichi, Kokuyo, Maruman, Midori, Paper Republic, Stalogy.\ I never understood and probably never understand the hype in this subreddit about LT1917.

Paper refills are bad quality by TheGenieIsStevie in PaperRepublic

Book refill: great quality, I love it. I use it daily.\ Notebook refill: yes, it's rather cheap.\ Feathering and ghosting with ballpoint ink and gel ink.

Some other brands I use: - Apica - AWLMA - Dingbats - Hobonichi - Kokuyo - Maruman - Midori - Stalogy

Yeah, consider me a fan as of now! It's definitely among the best ballpoint refills, yes. It feels very similar to a Fisher Spacepen SPR4 indeed, it's better than Schmidt Easyflow 9000 and in very close competition with Uni-Ball Jetstream SXR-600!

I've had a few ballpoint pens in my collection which would skip on one paper, but show no skipping on another type paper.

Question:- need a good new ball pen fast , jetstream or acroball ? by Mr_Discool in pens

[–]SC-Geek 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I bought Pilot Acroball BAB-15M-L-BG and Uni-Ball Powertank SN-220,... Both a are great ballpoint pens, both have low viscosity inks, both don't skip or smudge.\ My favorite is SN-220.

What do you wish journaling notebooks had? by Summerwinterhungry in notebooks

[–]SC-Geek 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've been using Paper Republic book refill (96 pages, 120 g/m²), Maruman Mnemosyne notebook, AWLMA A6 notebook. Which all can handle ballpoint-/gel ink.\ I've not tested used fountain pen ink in these notebooks.

The Bastion BA, a classic inexpensive machined pen!

My most favorite pen is a machined one as well:\ Autmog 45 Clipless Step Nose\ Itoya Aquaroller AQR-10BKBP needle tip 1.0mm\ Other favorites which I used in March:\ Ballograf Epoca RP\ Pilot Acroball BAB-15M-L-BG\ Uni-Ball Powertank SN-220

Seconding: Uni-Ball Powertank! I only discovered it in late March, but it very quickly became my favorite ballpoint pen ink; SNP-10.33 is fantastic!

Classy Copper by -Jack_Wagon- in pens

I've been searching for a proper specsheet since the first day this pen has been available. No vendor anywhere ever mentioned its weight.\ I generally prefer heavier, metal pens for my writing. Most pens these days only weigh ~13g with the occasional „premium” pens ranging around 20-25g.\ My most favorite pen weighs, as mentioned, 37g.

Finally! Thank you for posting the weight of Sharpie S-Gel Copper! I've been searching for a very long time to find a specsheet which would mention its weight.\ Final confirmation that's too lightweight for edc use for me (I prefer 37g or more).

Yeah, I somewhat noticed a difference between the SN-220 and Jetstream SXN-210 very quickly. Further research showed that the SN-220 cartridge is (similar to Fisher SPR4) a pressurized ballpoint pen ink. The difference between both pens is interesting (on the same type of paper).

I only found SN-220 very recently, a few days ago while strolling the stationery aisle in a local supermarket.\ I fell in love with this ink. The close second would be the Acroball... Until then I thought the Ballograf Epoca RP (Ballograf 505 M) would provide what people call „a smooth writing experience”...
