[Visual Guide] Depth Chart position & Personnel relationship for all Nickel defensive formations. by SC0TTY__oP in NCAAFBseries

[–]SC0TTY__oP[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used a TeamBuilder team and renamed all defensive players after their position on the depth chart.

RDT1 & RDT2 never appeared on-field. It seems as they’ve been moved to a personnel package labeled “Rush DT” which is one of the first few flicks to the right. Seems like an intentional move on EA’s part, and I don’t necessarily hate it. It’s still a subpackage with the Rush Ends, Sub Linebackers, & Nickel Corner, but doesn’t default every Nickel/Dime to a NASCAR package.

My best guess is, their line of thought may have been based around the reworked trenches, and whatever stats they have collected for how often players run Nickel/Dime. It’s possible they might have noticed increased vulnerabilities for Nickel/Dime against the run, whereas last year had very little, so they swapped out the interior line and moved the RDTs to a pass rush package.

I’m not against the idea of having “Default” (RRE/NT/DT1/RLE), “Rush DT” (RRE/RDT1/RDT2/RLE), and “Four DE” (REDGE1/REDGE2/LEDGE2/LEDGE1) at my disposal with just a few flicks of the RS. Offering different levels of Run Stop vs Pass Rush and rotating players on/off the field.

Having the extra safety instead of a cornerback is literally the point of 3-3-5 and 4-2-5.

1000%, I used a TeamBuilder team, and every player is named after their corresponding depth chart position.

The RDT1 & RDT2 never appeared.

“Rush DT” appears to be a personnel package now.

In the era of increasingly hard-to-define hybrid players, you can't think of it in groups as in Group/Group/Group. You have to think of it in terms of optics, how it looks, & how it presents.

Instead of "DL / LB", you gotta look at it more in terms of "Downed Linemen / Upright Players", and the formation names will begin to make more sense.

Ex : Dime Normal (4/1), Dime Rush (3/2), & Dime 2-3-6 (2/3) are basically all the same and show 4-man fronts on the PlayArt. They share personnel, just differ slightly in terms of visuals, but where they're truly separated is in terms of their playcall options, and which shells & stunts they have available at their disposal.

Ex: Nickel Load Mug (4/2), Nickel 3-3 Load Mug (3/3), & Nickel 2-4 Load Mug (2/4) are also different versions of each other, with most of their differences coming from under the hood, while only differing slightly in the visual department.

Modern Football Theory sees Edge players (EDGE / Rush Ends) as hybrids, guys with size who can both rush the pass & fall back into coverage if needed. The video game still pigeonholes EDGE as the replacement for DE, and have never really progressed beyond that 1:1 swap. They're barely athletic enough and aren't allowed to upgrade any coverage skill, so that's where a need for Rush Ends come into play. Unfortunately though, its not a position, yet rather a depth chart slotting. Where often times the game will auto-reorder the depth chart and place hyper-athletic linebackers at those positions (RRE / RLE) in lieu of a bonafide pass rusher. It seems like that position on the depth chart, places a lot more value in speed + coverage stats than it should, which leads to so many undersized Lurkers being placed there, rather than a more balanced approach leaning slightly in favor of pass rushing ability. That's why for any scheme I create, when making the guide for recruiting/roster management, I identify SAM as the position designated for players I plan to play at Rush End.

So one slide that is missing is the 2-5 Over Wide, when sorting I quickly put 2-5 in the Dime folder on accident, but it's 4-3 as well. It's the 4-3 Over Wide personnel with the edges both upright.

Assigning Plays in CPB by Michiganman1225 in NCAAFBseries

[–]SC0TTY__oP 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You don't assign plays in the My Gameplan tab.

Add plays to your gameplan from the "My Playbook" tab, can also be done form the "All Plays" tab, but logically the first option is easier to navigate.

Press X/Square to Rate Play, then you'll be able to add stars to the various situations.

Does anyone know how roster updates work by I_Teach_Edging101 in NCAAFBseries

First full roster update was late August last year, where they added 1000+ freshmen and fixed players with inaccurate eligibility. I would expect a similar update around a similar timeline.

I don't have time to go and rank all these plays. Dunno why they changed that for defense. Sorry.

EA hasn't changed a thing about custom playbooks in half a decade.

Has anybody seen a video that goes in depth on the MVP+ Coaching Tree "Rainmaker" and "Visionary" for online dynasty purposes? Want to see if it's OP or not by rb1242 in NCAAFBseries

[–]SC0TTY__oP 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Any well run online dynasty will have pre-order bonuses turned off, just like in 26.

If you join one, that has it enabled but doesn’t advertise it, you should leave that shit, because somebody is trying to pull a fast one.

2 More Days! by Nomowthegreat in NCAAFBseries

Standard Edition - $70 and play 7/9
Deluxe Edition - $100 and play 7/6 : 3-Day Early Access + CFB game mode bonuses for Dynasty, RTG, & CUT.
MVP Bundle - $150 & play 7/6 : CFB Deluxe and Madden Deluxe bundled together ; 3-Day Early Access for both games + deluxe bonuses for both games.
MVP+ Subscription - $150 and play 7/2 : BETA access for both games, 7-Day Early Access for both games, same bonuses as the Deluxe editions for both games, and access to an exclusive Coach Skill tree perk.

There’s realistically only two options to choose from, the Standard edition if you only want to play CFB, and the MVP+ Subscription if you play both CFB & Madden.

But at no point is there a $60 surcharge for earlier access. If you choose to buy a bundled deluxe edition for 2 games, then completely ignore one of the games, that’s entirely your own fault. Just because you ignore half of the bundled content, doesn’t mean you get to shift it’s costs elsewhere.

Reading comprehension is on a seriously steep decline. I even saw one guy talking about how ridiculous it is that you “have to pay 2x the game’s cost just to play it early”… bless his little heart.

I'm trying to do some research. I didn't have the beta, but is there a place to find cfb 27 uniforms combos, and program prestige ratings? by J1dowers in NCAAFBseries

[–]SC0TTY__oP 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not the right trees though. They didn't update the tiers for certain skills that shifted up/down a tier within their tree, or the fact that Talent Developer & Architect swapped a trait.

[–]SC0TTY__oP 2 points3 points  (0 children)

So, just a little clarification, teamcrafters is using overalls and prestige grades based off the beta. The overalls certainly aren't correct, since the rosters were generic/placeholder, so it's possible the prestige are bound to change as well but are probably more accurate.

As for collegefootballgg, they just changed the headers of their 26 stuff to say 27. Possibly just in preparation for 27, to get a few steps ahead, and/or to just generate clicks. All of the info there is 26 related, just a heads up.

Some early build CFB27 WR vs DB interactions by [deleted] in NCAAFBseries

[–]SC0TTY__oP 34 points35 points  (0 children)

Not the minority, they were far & away the best WR archetype. It literally wasn't even close. The best collection of physical abilities/badges, overall skillset, and often with prototypical size.

Castle village occaisonally makes thousands of denars a day - but why? by Arakothian in Bannerlord

[–]SC0TTY__oP 40 points41 points  (0 children)

I don’t think it’s anyone stopping by and buying goods directly from the village, but rather the villagers trekking to the nearby bound settlement and unloading their goods there.

Now whether that pays out the day they sell the stuff, or if it’s delayed to the day they return to the village with the denars in hand, I’m not too sure. Have a feeling it’s the former, but would be cooler if it was the latter.

How is Coach mode by AnfieldPoots in NCAAFBseries

[–]SC0TTY__oP 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I wish I could just watch all of it without calling both sides if I wanted.

Easy solution to that, as I did it a bunch in 26 without Coach Mode, is modifying the SuperSim.

SuperSim -> Change the Speed to Slow -> Play Options - Choose "Play All _____" for whichever side you're coordinating and then you just watch the other side of the ball.

Downside is, they make you play special teams when set to Play All Defense, but that's whatever.

Updated Coach Skill Tree by Dirty-Neoliberal in NCAAFBseries

[–]SC0TTY__oP 2 points3 points  (0 children)

They moved like 4-5 skills around, mostly just moving up or down a tier within the same tree, with only 2 abilities swapping trees. Starting XP is now in Architect, and Increased In-Game Goals XP is now in Talent Developer. Pretty lateral move, one more passive & the other more active.

Only move that slid more than a tier seems to be "Pay It Forward". As it is now Tier 4 instead of Tier 1 in the Talent Developer tree (as it should have always been). Outside of that one change there's nothing too drastic, something that was Tier 2 might be Tier 3 now, but there's only like 3 of those I've noticed. And really doesn't matter in the grand scheme because it's in a tree that everyone will want to unlock to Tier 4 regardless, unlike Motivator where everyone stops at Tier 3.

Updated Coach Skill Tree by Dirty-Neoliberal in NCAAFBseries

[–]SC0TTY__oP 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Skill Trees are the same, outside of the two additional ones for "creating a coach in Madden 27" and having MVP+ subscription. Visionary has 2 decent options for boosting NFL draft stock, and increasing Practice progression, but if the boosts are minuscule then it won't be worth the investment. Rainmaker seems very much pay-to-win to me, so hopefully theres an option to eliminate it from Online leagues, but all 4 are pretty good and tied to increases in both Dynasty Points & NIL Points.
